I still haven't installed my boost tubes from the group buy and you are selling yours already? Were you not happy with the fitment or was it something else?

The clamps are junk, Both cold side clamps broke and the hot side tube had to be trimmed to fit. I got a good deal on a set of SU tubes from another member so I put those on. I have the OBX tubes listed for sale on the forums.

I need to install my ssafc, possibly an o2 sensor. I killed mine. Anyone install that before? I need to find my ecu pinout paper though.

I think I left a chair there last time? Goes in a bag, I think it was green? lol.. Need any drinks? I'll bring some tools and cherry dr. pepper I'm addicted to it.

We still aiming for 1?

Sure, the official time is 2 but I know a few are showing up earlier. I plan to get out there early also.

I'm gonna try to get there a little earlier...I got the RX-8 wheels on, it is teh new hotness. James, your friend Kai (19psi on 502) hooked me up.

Kai is great! Glad you were able to find a deal. I bet it looks awesome. Will you need to roll your fenders?

Mmmmm, cherry Dr. Pepper... It has crack in it, I am sure of it.

I am bringing:
Degreaser and oil for Jason's EGR clean
Jack and stands
Socket set and misc toolbag
Carwash/detail stuff - tire foam, soap, wax, wrags, etc. etc.
Kroger sacks and engine cleaner - mine needs it bad!

A twelve pack of Welches or Sunkist. Or both.

Nah, I wimped out and decided to stick with 225/40 instead of 235/40, so I shouldn't have any issues. The new setup is 7 lbs lighter per corner. I don't know if that will translate to any performance gains, but it can't hurt.

Cool, I was going to have to come late due to a funeral. A friends dad passed yesterday. But 2ish is the time I was looking at. So I won't miss much.

It should make the car a little quicker. I believe the standard ratios are 10th of a second for every 100 lbs of weight shed. And because of rolling inertia 1 lb of wheel weight loss is equal to 5 lbs of body weight. So by the numbers you have shed the equivalent of 140 pounds of body weight equaling .14 sec. faster acceleration. Not bad for just changing wheels and tires.

Cool! I love physics...wish I'd paid more attention. Over what interval is that acceleration gain? 0-60, or quarter mile?

1/4 mile, which will include your 0-60. And this is from a stop. Once your already rolling it is not as big a factor.

Yeah, I get it. It's really only a factor in reducing rotational inertia...once you get rolling, its more about momentum.

And yes, the RX-8s are about 3 lbs lighter; the rest of the drop in weight was tires. If anybody needs tires you should check these out. Great reviews on tirerack.com, and very affordable ($94/tire in my size).

It was great meeting everyone and seeing their cars. I posted a few pics from the meet.

It was a treat when I left.. if its not one thing its another. Last time oil cap, this time coupler. I guess I did'nt tighten it good, blew the coupler off the throttle body as soon as I hit boost. Limped the car to that first gas station after you turn right. Luckily I had a spare clamp in with my tools. Took me exactly an hour and a half to get home.

Go back into the gallery and click on the thumbnail. When the image comes up there will be a link directly below the image which says get original uploaded file. Click that link. The full res image will come up. On my monitor the colors look off when the hi res comes up, but when you right click and save, the saved image has the correct colors.

And I'll take that as a compliment on the photo. Thanks.
