S. Florida Pro-Tunning Inquirey...

well not gonna spend all that cheeze if you cant at least make sopme money back so if no one is interested then i will have to wait for the street tuner to come out then we'll be all set.

Do you already have an accessPORT? I think it would be better for you to find people with STIs and other speed6/speed3s in the area with accessPORTS and not just post on this forum.... try mazda6 club too.

Otherwise it's just the small amount of us people that know you... (dunno)

AP hasnt taken control of the TP to keep it open. so thats 100% wrong

Really? I didn't read that the AP did anything with the throttle plate, but I don't have an AP, and he does, so I assumed he had experience with it.

The only thing that irks me is the fact with CP-E you'd be spending like $400 for the FullControl... $600 for the Standback, and then $400 for the plug & play pins for the standback.... so roughly... about $1500 (after shipping?) to get FULL full control of your engine/ecu :(

i have friends with AP's and they are still looking for better tuning solutions(the custom tuning from the AP)

which should allow you to gain contol of the TP and keep it open.

but i havent read anything about the AP being able to keep the TP open so you were right about the AP not having controll of the TP

Well it's hard, because there are features I like about the AP, and features I like about the Standback that neither has what the other does. At the same time I don't know anyone that has the CP-E FullControl, so I don't know if that really works in regards to the throttle plate issue.

yep, which is the reason why i havent bought either of them.

i was looking into getting the Piasini tune but there is too little support. NYpest stop doing mail in ECU's and such

but there is a shop around the corner from me called "GBR Racing" they build time attack cars and race them. Mostly BMW M3's, but now they are building an EVO.

but once the Custom AP comes out. and its it works the way we are all expecting, ill buy one and im taking my car to "GBR Racing" for them to tune my car

can you provide some proof the AP controlls the TP and keeps it open at WOT b/c if it does this is breaking news to me. i have been reading continuously on tuning solutions for this car and the probs when it comes to tuning.

one of the main problems is the TP staying open at WOT so please show proof the AP does this bC its first time news to me

The one thing I'm not understanding here is 2 things...

First who's to say the Dashhawk showing 15% really means the throttle plate is 15% open at idle? Have they actually SEEN the TP open 15% at idle?

Second thing is this.....

If you're reading 15% at idle, and it goes to 85% at WOT on the Dashhawk... that's only 70%

so if you read 15% as 0% then 85% should be 70%..... So therefore by first grade math, the throttle plate only opens 70% not 100%..... I'm confused by this.

AGAIN.... I don't trust any of this...

nice one James, I was wondering if anyone would get that (thumb)

I'm not here to own anyone or start arguments.... just to set the facts straight.

Even from reading the other message board, it seems a lot of people's notions are pre-conceived or misled.

How do you get 100% by adding 15 to 85, if 15 is supposed to be zero, and the DashHawk displays throttle from 15 to 85? What you really get is a 70% difference.... going from 0% to 70%.

Am I the only one that sees this doesn't make any sense?

"15% is really 0 and 85% is really 100" How the ****?! It seems a lot of people need to go back to the basics of math..... :(

doesnt make sense to me which is why im not interested in the AP at this point. i want a full and proper tune.

so my only option is to see how the fully customizable AP will work and if you can Fully tune, then im going to GBR Racing for them to tune it.

back to point A again
