Is this tire size possible

I found 245/40 18 for a steel, but just wanted to get opinions on fitment and all. Will these even go on the stock rim?

I saw people running 235, and no running into any problems. Im guessing 245 is just pushing it.
235's on stockers or on rx-8s? i would think a 235 would be pulled in too much at the bead and a 245 would be really bad.

I would think that would be way to wide for a 18x7, I cant say for sure but I'd assume that would rub. The few running 235 i see are running lower profile.

On the stock MS3 wheels, I wouldn't go any wider than 225. It's not a question of whether or not it will physically fit on the 7" rim but at what cost to ride and handling. When you go too wide of a tire on a rim, you're putting unnecessary stress on the sidewalls and will most likely lose some steering feel with no real gain in grip.

this man speaks the truth

40 is what i run with my 225. i think some have had rubbing issues with the 45s

I have 225/45 Falken 452's. If I have backseat passengers and hit bumps, the center of the tire hits the plastic wheel well liner towards the rear end of the car. Just barely - not enough to cause a problem. Actually, after my first tire rotation, I haven't had them rub again......

I'm running 225/40's no problem on stock rims, actually fills out the rim nicely in my opinion. I have heard a few people say 225/45 will rub

Anyone thinkl it would be possible with any Rim and rolled Fenders to get 255/45/18 on there, I got a brand new stickered set of Falken RT-615s just sitting here, accidentally won an auction i didnt think I would, LOL

If anyone needs a 255/45/18, of killer tires let me know as I'm almost positive theres no way these will fit. I got em cheap and can pass the saving on to you, especially if your in Florida.

no way. especially with those tires. they run wider than most. i have 245/40 and there isnt much room left.

Falken RT-615's
Anybody need a set of 255/45/18 Never Mounted 255/45/18's, my stipidity is your gain, there 208 from Discount, They still have the stickers on them and have never been mounted. There still strapped together. I'll let em go for 650 if locally picked up or 700, if shipped! I'm just north of Tampa.
