Broken LSD / MSP 2003

Yesterday when i drive above 30-40 mph I lose all gears, engine work good but no posibility to move forward or backward. No sound was comming from gearboks. We take it down and take gearboks for the pieces, we see what we see:

I thing this type of broken is unreparaible, and quiestion where to buy new one or whole gearbox (used). Maybe anyone can tell mi is possible to buy cheaper than 529$??

dude...look around the forsale threads on here....i've seen a couple welded revised lsd's for sale latly....also hit up www.protegegarge.com i know they sell them too new....and yeah apparently those were kindy crappy if they weren't welded good

welcome the msp world haha mine broke in may, i got me a welded one from protegegarage for 619, it was more pricey but i trust them more you i think someone was selling the qualife lsd on here too, look around here if you dont find one i would just get either one of the 2

Does mazda/mazdaspeed make later modification for the LSD, to make it stronger?? My mazda (Az Auto, Warsaw, Poland) dealer found me new one for 496$ and free shipping to Poland, they say that's the latest version of lsd.

And questions:
- That is oryginaly welded lsd or need tig/mig welding?
- Where can I find any tutorial of welding by tig/mig method oryginal lsd?

I would get the one that is giving you free Poland shipping and have it welded out there. That will be your cheapest option. ProtegeGarage is the Vendor I trust most, They will take a new LSD and have it welded for you then send it to you, Shipping is going to be the kicker though.

I don't think the latest version of the LSD is any stronger than the original. I agree with above, get the best price factory LSD you can find, and get it welded locally. There are pictures on the forum somewhere of how the LSD should look after it's welded. If you don't find them, send me a PM and I'll try to find my pics and email them to you.

the last time it was revised was in 2006, it should be a lil stronger but its the same one protegegarage uses with there welded one also the one i am running, get the one that will be shipped to you and have it tig welded, oh and the original one was never welded thats why they always break it cuz the housing they were in are weak

**Oh and i wouldn't buy a revised one off the forums here...i've heard of people snapping their LSDs and rewelding them back together and selling them on here**

Sorry, don't understand. But there is another one also 03 but spicy orange without racinghart wheels, where for sale for about 8500$:







Tommorow (friday) i'll order from my dealer oryginal lsd an will weld it here. Worst is the shipping time to poland (sea way) is about 3-4 weeks. But until lsd will arrive i'have enought time to make fmic and custom pipings and j-pipe-back 2.5" exhoust with racingbeat/ms silencer.

(hand)haha i know that haha i worded that wrong what i ment to say is that it was relased in america and a few in canada, im just curious how it ended up in poland, i know 2oo3.5 car made it to spain cuz he moved there and shipped it there i was just curious what the story behind his being in poland haha

This is my second car from US that I personaly buy, ship and use in poland. Previous was 2007 Mazda 6 2.3 Sport VE, it was used for about one year but car was to slowand have ATX. This MSP i bought from US Marine Corps soldier. I alway want to have one of MSP but there was no occasion, but in 2008 I found money, time and car to make my dream come true. In poland we have alot of mazda user's but whith modding their in lov in kl/klze engines cheapes way to have about 180-200hp (engine with eco for about 1000-1200$).
