I always though it was an o2 sensor, untill today when my friend was looking at it and said HEY! thats a friggin spark plug!

Basically whoever had my msp before me welded a bung on the pipe in between the muffler and tip. It has a sprk plug with an MSD ignition wire thing attatched to it. Im not sure if it is hooked up to anything, it goes thru the inside of my car so i couldnt dig it up. I tried to unscrew it but the shoddy welding job left it all rusted and locked (even after a good soaking of PB blaster). So I pulled the igntion wire out and im leaving it unplugged for now, i noticed no difference while driving.

the only thing we could think of as its purpose is one of those flame shooting kits??? ive never shot flames b4 so idk.

i have seen them in the manifold in order to ignite unburned gas when you downshift. i have never seen one in the exhaust though.

I've seen and heard alot of odd things dealing with used cars. This tops them all.

hmm, looks like who ever had it was had in mind flame thrower
but why a spark plug in there i guess ask the previous owner if u know who it is.

previous owner watched the fast and the furious (AKA: the slow and the curious) way to much. lol

yeah definatly, old school late 40's early 50's ford and merc coupes, spark plugs in both exhausts for lonnnng flames

Sticking things in your tailpipe or having someone else do it = big no no. Were there any rainbow stickers that had to be removed?

haha ok lets stop bashing my car.

i know it was a ricer in its previous life(ricer), it had

-a stick on hood scoop
-neons
-altezzas (which i am in the process of blacking out)
-a flame thrower

the wire is unpluged and will remian so. i am working on trying to get it unscrewed but it is really rustly.

i will get some pics up soon
