195/65/R15 winter tires.

Anyone run 195/65/R15 tires on their protege?

do they fit?

i'm looking at a set of used winter tires on craigs list. i would perfer 195/55 but these are about 1" larger in over all diameter thank what i have on now 215/35/R18

They are the "standard" size fit for winter tires.

they may be a bit larger in diameter, but the difference in height is minimal.

besides, that extra bit of clearance may save your front end turning into
a shovel if you beat the snow plow out on the streets in the morning.

I made the mistake of putting smaller 13" snow tires on my old Civic SI once.
Sure, they fit but first snowfall and i couldn't get my car out of the driveway
with 8" of snow on the ground.

I run these on my MSP for winter, it raises the height a little which is an added bonus for winter driving

I have this set up on my car and the size is perfect. Strongly suggest getting winter rubber on 15's!
