It will trigger a CEL unless you take measures found by using the search function to eliminate the CEL. I'd go with the mechanical fix rather than the electrical fix.I was thinking about buying a header for my 03 protege 5 and was wondering if it would mess with the 02 sensors and make my car run bad if i put one on

I've been running non-fouler for over 3 1/2 yrs on OBX header with no CEL & no inspection issues.
Non fouler are the 2 spark plug things that you drill one out with 1/2 inch bit for sensor to clear when stacked together. The other an electrical CEL fix with some resistor or something added to the wiring.Which non-fouler are you guys running? Theres two of them....
I live in TX, they looked under the hood for awhile scratching heads, shrugging shoulders then just hooked computer up & put sticker on it since all the readings passed. And here I was thinking that it only elliminated the CEL.
My biggest fear is, of course, inspection as I live in CA.
Does anyone know if, upon them seeing the headers, they would fail me?
Could I pull a "yes, they're aftermarket, but they're legal" story if they ask, or will they not say anything?
