So long story short I have an 07 MS6 and I was planning on heavily modifying it. However its my daily driver and mods + canadian winter usually aint a great thing plus I need the thing to last for a long time.

I've decided to pick up a 93 FD3S RX7 its going to be a bit of a project car and a summer only car.

My only question is will all aftermarket parts work on a JDM model?

G'day.

All mechanical parts for the RX-7 will interchange from 92-02

The "Series-6" version (92-95) runs an 8-bit ECU
The "Series-7" version (96-98) runs a 16-bit ECU
The "Series-8" version (99-02) runs a 16-bit ECU

USA only got the Series-6 version so beware if you order aftermarket ECU gear, chipped ECU, Power-FC etc etc from Japan.

REgards

in short, all american parts will work on THIS jdm model since there is a usdm version of it. as for the ecu, i would go stand-alone anyways since this is where the big hp gains and reliability (from a good tune anyways) come from.
