disconnecting the battery a must for sri???

hey guys. wondering if u can help me out. ive been checkin out threads cuz im thinkin of buyin the cobb sri and a forged bpv. is it tru that disconnecting the battery and letting he ecu relearn the motors patterns for a couple days is something that should be done when installing these items?? has anyone done this??

yeah, you dont need a couple days though. I'd just let it idle for a few mins, and drive it conservatively for 10 miles or 10 minutes or something.

The last time I put my sri back on I did not disconnect the battery, and everything runs fine. Won't the ecu adjust on its own reguardless?

Eventually. It is constantly learning. Resetting the ecu just speeds up the process.
