The Slowest GTI VRT ever built (aka Get Some)

Can you show me the license plate though? Looks like a nice ride though. Also, Mike, do you know someone who drives a red Civic "Si"? He was turning into Oakwood U. next to the Wal-Mart.

If your boi thinks his car is so good, bring him out to an autox... no sense doing it on the street.

400+hp on a FWD with probably 205 or 215 series tires = understeer + wheelspin no matter what diff it has.

See also SRT4, Cobalt SS....

i guess we should organize a mountain meet in april or may sometime. My buddy at work wants to go again this time he is gonna bring the twin turbo porsche...and hopefully we can make it without somebodies gas tank exploding

I'm down for that. Last year was a blast. (blowup)

Updated! New vids.

Here is a couple videos we shot today. You can see good old Orange in the driveway. I was the photographer in the second vid. I wasn't there for the first. To explain why he was holding the steering wheel, something about his hat and his hand just ended up like that and he didn't want to let go of the wheel. Anyway, enjoi.

Dude in that first vid that car sounds like it's pinging BAD... That's how my car sounded about 2 weeks before it blew up. What's he using for knock retard or alert?

Hey, cool vids of you guys driving like douchebags on public streets!

(yupnope)

When all else fails resort to insults of driving dangerously when nothing can be said to add to the conversation (yawn)

No usually thats his first line...kinda comes with the territory of being a Team Solo member for the local SCCA

Basically, with the exception of these recently added vids, I am done saying whats been done to his car because it has become apparent that regardless the fact that he has done ALL the work by himself and the fact that his car is fast as balls, I am wrong for posting it and he is wrong for driving it. Because we all know that he is the ONLY one who drives like an idiot on the street. Because you don't speed, you don't swerve, you don't cross any lines in the roads, you don't do any illegal u-turns... nope, you're perfect. Screw the haters his car is awesome.

The knock sound, I'll take that one seriously, and I cannot answer it. I thought it sounds pretty good BUT I have roundly repeated that I don't know much about cars. I'll ask him if he hears a knock. Who knows, he may be replacing alot soon if that's the case.

Dale, driving like a douchebag on public streets has nothing to do with the work done on his car.

You seem to be unable to grasp that simple concept.

There is a difference between what most people do everyday and what you guys seem to like to do, i.e. "racing" a 4-Runner up an on ramp.

I did stupid stuff and it cost me a car, credit rating, insurance, court costs, and almost a DUI.

I don't do it anymore.

Yes, you friend has a nice car. That has nothing to do with driving like a idiot. There is a time and place for that.

Then why does everyone insist on taking my friend onto RT 180? So you don't want him goofing off on the streets unless you're there next to him...

nice.

edit: I've also since just noticed that anyone that has any conflict with anything you like or stand for, is a douchebag. Sounds like a case of a pot and a kettle.

I ask again what is he using for knock detection, I cranked it up loud and it definitly sounds like ping. Marbles in a coffee can type noise...

i would have to say i cant remember brian ever joining us on our mt runs. I mean i can make every excuse in the book as to why rt 180 might be a little safer than say running in any populated area in the metro ATL area. Truth of the matter is i am still usually doubling the speed limit up there and its still illegal...just one of those risks i guess i take, but being so sparsly populated up there i take my life and my life only into my own hands up there so IF anything does happen it happens to me and me alone. Like i said though it still doesnt make it ok and certain people have certain views on that.

Call it what you will Dale, at least I stand for something.

I don't do mountain runs anymore. I've been up there with idiots I don't know or trust and seen some really dumbass stuff including one person putting his car off the mountain. If you are willing to drive like that in the middle of a suburban area I can only imagine what you would do in the mountains.

Power without control is an accident waiting to happen.

Taillight shmail-light. He noticed that after watching. He said "Huh... I got me a taillight out."(jerkit) It just takes power to run them anyhow.

As for the mountain runs, I never said YOU challenged him to a mountain run, but I didn't hear any backlash from anyone who did by you. All I am asking is you don't pretend like I, and the folks I hang out with, are the only ones doing such. If you don't like it, stay away from Oakwood, stay away from Rt. 180.

I am not trying to be a b**** but I am not ignorant. I know it's dangerous. So is walking out of the house. I could be struck by lightning, hit by a car getting my mail, shot by a random gunman, or mauled by a giraffe... that's the risk I take. If you want to live your life in a box or a bubble, go ahead. As for me, I'll take the risks and actually enjoy life.
