it probably been asked before...how come your pump is some $150 more than what pg pump was??

and gonna hold off the fuel pump as my tuner told me i will only need a fuel pump upgrade if i go a bigger turbo....that's gonna be next off season project bigger turbo kit/fuel pump/manifold/and tune again....now i have more than enough power to play with mean time....

I suspect that the increase price comes from the fact that, Jon has taken the pumps liability and will be assembling these and testing them on his own car taking the time to make sure all pumps leave him in 100% working order with video proof. Gas/time/web space/time/fill in the blank(overhead)/time.

I dont wanna be a debbie downer or anything, but what kind of warranty is lilguy gonna give out with these pumps? DOA, 1 month, 1 year? What keeps him from telling me to go **** myself when my pump seizes 3 months from when i get it installed?

No offense, but i think its time you find a new tuner. You need the pump NOW looking at your mods.

Just PM him. He stands behind his product and it has a warranty. You can goto his website.

Why is that?
I have been told the same thing by my workshop. I know a few local MS3's in Oz running over 300whp all on the stock pump dyno tuned with the Xede and none of us have experienced a fuel cut.

Mind you the trap results from Loosh after adding the pump are very impressive, which i think the results he got make getting the pump worthwhile.

Are the pump gains just from 5800 upwards or do you get more oomph around 3000 up?

From what I've read in the numerous threads, its an all around improvement; low-end to top-end. I read, even a bone stock MS3 can benefit from the fuel pump. I'm still waiting a little longer before I take the plunge.

Hey Debbie, (lol)

Of course anyone interested has this feeling, Jon has even addressed this. While he cannot warranty the CDFP after it leaves his hands he will issue a video of him installing your/every new/upgraded pump on his car and running it up through the revs to prove the pumps working order. For myself I decided to keep my stock pump in case of part defects and the like. This way I can send him back the pump to inspect having zero down time. That was just my solution, and is what works for me.

I have spoken to Jon and he truly knows all about this pump and its parts anyone with concern should give him a call(mrlilguy157 look him up) he has expressed he will make time for any questions and will help you feel more confident about his offer(it did for me). PG seems to like him as well; I have a good feeling in a few weeks pumps will be on and ripping (drive2)

(lol) i was gonna have the fuel with all the mods together and tuned....but after 2 months of drama im gonna wait....and if i get a working upgrade fuel pump now that mean i have to get another tune with it.....thats waste of money for the first tuned....really really happy with my car right now....racing season have started in my area....dont want to make big changes during the season....but i will defintely look for a fuel pump upgrade next off season....

Well you can either take the advice given to you or play in OZ land living a fantasy. If you want a faster MS3 down there, step up to the plate. You may just end up having the fastest car down there just doing this pump and re-tuning. Fuel pump removed the barrier that we are all hitting.

Ahh you do SCCA, gotcha. You dont need another tune with it though.. Who's doing your tuning up in N.Ca?

Well said. I cannot do any public advertising in these threads unless I setup an AVM status, so as always, a phone call and or PM will suffice. I return every PM I get daily, I'm trying to stay on top of this as best I can.

Thank you tim and kevin for answering questions while I'm away from the iPhone or computer.

GSTMOTORSPORT.....they build and race subbie(redline time attack/super lap)....mike at gstmotorsport is building his next race car...he said this time this car is gonna be unbeatable...

lilguy do you have your devilsown meth kit installed yet? Did you get the newer injectors?

Mine is ordered im waiting for him to get a flow control solenoid in to replace the checkvalve. (I suggest you do the same)

If so, hows it running?

Yeah i mean its called "methanol INJECTION" so after reading about it so much my brain just went from injection.. to methonal injectORs. If i had made that post like 5 minute later its entirely possible i would have said nozzles instead.(uhm)

The pump for me would be a pure performance upgrade. Loosh's results were very impressive. I'm waiting with foaming enthusiasm on the dyno results that lilguy advised he will post up on Saturday. I'm sure the data will speak for itself and if it looks good, i might take you up on stepping to the plate :)

Yeah he answered by saying the time it takes him to build them and test each one by using it on his car warranted the price jump. As for your tuner saying you don't need it? These cars have a big nasty lean hump on boost at low rpms if you have tuning software I would imagine the pump would give you the flexability to tune that out. It also increases the headroom for bigger mods one day. I don't see how it can be looked at as a bad investment.
