Game On Again

I didn't expect you to be a d**k. I don't want to read the last 10 months of arguing and BS, I just want some quick data since all of this stuff has been sorted out supposedly. Some of what you said above is common sense (the spring thing), and some I didn't know (the Mazda MAF vs. map prog. issue). Thanks for the help...

I didnt expect you to be such a sarcastic asshole. But seeing as you have attempted to re-invent the wheel, i corrected you. Take it as a lesson learned. A lot of us had done quite a bit of work datalogging and attempting to figure these cars out.

I do.

:) 2 hours of dyno time next saturday. stock car pull, stock with pump pull. all bolts ons pull, all bolt ons with upgrade pump pull. upgraded pump with meth pull.

2hrs for all of the labor that will be done ON the dyno. intake, pump on and off, boost controller, etc....

This is cool/

Since all of you pro tuners seem to be spending all your time on this thread, could one of you respond to the last few posts on:
http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123694249&page=5

Thanks!
.... Imo the increase boost is causing the spark blowout(as we all know) by pulling on the springs you are only just helping the spring promote stronger conectivity, as long as you pull just enough for all 4 its helping with the blow out/shutter....

If i didnt understand your question sorry!

from Laloosh's huge post

quote dada here If the fuel trims are all out of whack b/c of a crappy intake design, the standback will, in some cases, make the car more sensitive to this. Had the intake been removed the CEL would have gone away. Had the intake been replaced with a properly designed intake (Cobb, cp-e) that doesn't have turbulence before the sensor, there would have been no cel to begin with b/c the fuel trims would have been stable.

Hey I'm not getting involved in this pissing contest because I do my own stuff but, My car had a MSCAI and the Standback and set lean codes 2177 and 2187. I added fuel with the maf scalar, 1, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5%. First all over then down around idle and nothing made the codes go away. I switched to a Cobb and got the code once. I added 1.5% around idle and it has been ok for a few weeks now.

Just clearing up missinformation about my car.

thank for prooving my point(drinks) btw do the spring mod if ure stuttering, it might be the pump cause ure probably pushing some power now, but it worth a shot

its all about the tuning and right mix of parts sometimes. there are plenty of people scratching their heads on how we obtained the dyno numbers we did on the stock motor and stock fuel system, but it was done.

I just read through 16 pages of bulls*** and want my life back.

Pretty much, here is what I have to say:

Dada: I like the fact that you drive an MS6, but you will get ***** by laloosh at any distance over 1/8th mile. And from a roll? Dont even think about it. Im as angry as you, but you can not overcome 400 lbs, 10% more driveline losses, and who knows what with the ECU.

Laloosh: Seriously, you cannot compare CP-E's fuel pump vs. PG's fuel pump based on track times. Too many variables: entirely different cars, weights, boost settings, tunes, tracks, weather, drivers, etc. Your videos are great proof, and I have been to the track you go to numerous times, and I know that that track does not produce false numbers.

Driver311: I like your choice in cars and bands. And your technical know-how. You know your s***.

Everybody else: You want a MrLilGuy pump? Buy it. You want a CP-E pump? Buy it. From the sounds of it, they are the same F-in thing. Stop beating a dead horse. MS3 people do not like CP-E, whether or not it be for accurate information, but this thread IS NOT SOLVING ANYTHING.

Yes, PG pumps did fail, they accepted blame, they fixed the situation. Leave them out of this. They do more for this Mazda community than 99.9 percent of the users.

Ken @ Protege Garage: You rule.

Now, I think everyone needs to go out and get laid.

Not to bad of a summary...(mswerd)

I will be the first to admit my car runs like s***. People pm me asking about parts and how much hp they make and I tell them if you have to pm me asking what you should do, I say you haven't read enough and don't know the problems your making for your self. I see points for the whole argument here flow, price, avalibility, and stuff. I really need the pump so I'm stuck waiting until they are all avalible.

im not comparing the cpe pump to the pg pump. Im comparing my track times before the pump and after the pump. Same driver, same car, 1 more psi and a pump, no other changes

i got the stock pump..:) i set the standback to 18.3psi and i hold 19.5-20.0psi in 4rth thru 6th..execept when i get past 4k then the throttle plate starts to do its dance...

man....after frustrated for the past 2 months....i fall in love my car all over again.....just ran first round of autoX...smooth and strong all day long....no problem wat so ever....cant wait to take my car for track day.....looking to shaved 10 secord of my lap time....(dance)

impressive. a fuel pump in your hands will help fa shoooooooo (spin)

it probably been asked before...how come your pump is some $150 more than what pg pump was??

and gonna hold off the fuel pump as my tuner told me i will only need a fuel pump upgrade if i go a bigger turbo....thats gonna be next off season project bigger turbo kit/fuel pump/manifold/and tune again....now i have more than enough power to play with mean time....
