Stocks are 7" and moving to a wider rim/tire definitely improves handling IMO. I went with 7.5" with 235/40/18s. You may need to roll the rear fender with this setup though because it can make contact under full load.
I wanted to change the look of the car. Did I get $1700 worth of performance out of a lighter set of wheels? No.

im about to purchase cobbsport springs and bars , i also wanted to buy wider tires {traction issues] mine will be used up shortly has anyone used cobbsprings w/more tire? if so please share info thanks
i just ordered my cobb stage 2 suspension, so if you're willing to wait till next week for feedback, i'll be posting a full write-up of my impressions by then!![]()
cool cool what size wheel/tire?
ya, but as long as you're careful with your rim selection (high offset), you should most likely be ok with the rubbing...=d
Mine are the recommended 7.5" x 48mm. I'm not sure I'd go more either way here. The good thing is that for $100 you can solve the problem w/out worry.![]()
haha...are you talkin about fender rolling? ^^; i never liked the idea, actually, so i stay away from it like the plague! (eek2)
i was trying to decide between 225/50/16 and 245/50/16, and i just couldn't do the fender rolling necessary for 245s, so i'm goin 225 all the way! (alright)
by fender rolling it would it look like the 350z's back fender?
