FREE MPI help!

is there anything we can do to make this work with vista

It works for me in Vista 32bit version. I am switching to 64 bit soon so we will see but it doesn't matter because I have 5 computers.
Anywho, I just installed and it runs fine for me in Vista.
 
im looking to get a management system for my car sometime this year. but im new to the turbo world. i hear alot about the MPI and the Unichip. does one work better with differnet mods?
 
Yea thats what i thought so if i contacted perfectpower and bought their cable that connects to the 2 wire harness that supposed to connect to a computer it would work?? i bought the mpi without that cable not knowing
 
OK, here we go....made a move on an MPI with NA module for my 03 sport auto daily driver. Motorwise vtcs removed, udp, lightened alt/wp/ps pulleys, 1.8 coils, header/hi flo 2.25 catted midpipe/2.25 cat back exh, sri. Mainly just looking to clean up afr & maybe bump up timing. I know I need a wb o2/gauge but is there anything else I may need like maybe voltage clamp? Any general advice? Haven't found too much about NA auto ems action so just wanna cover bases before gettin into this. Not gonna install without wb o2. Got the laptop, need serial - usb adapter. Got manual & most current software from perfectpower site. What am I missin? Any tips/heads up/advice appreciated.

I have the extra injector set up on my car but i never figured out what i do with the wire that dosen't got to the MPI i stay thinking it goes to the power source but i have no clue and don't want to mess them up so if you could drop a hint that would be nice. thanks ahead of time.
 
The negative of the injectors goes to the MPI, the positive goes to a fused 12v source. I had mine righ tto the battery with a fuse inline. The MPI grounds the injectors to cause them to fire, so having a constant 12v to them means nothing because when they are not firing, the ground is not grounded.
 
Big bump here, hoping that Tim can help (hasn't been online in a couple of weeks, vacation I hope). Not sure if this may have been answered in the previous 800 posts (which I don't have time to read right now), but I've got my car with the MPI w/NA module. We are able to tune it at low to ~throttle, and the input seems to be working for that, but anything above ~2/3throttle will not respond to input; I'm still running quite rich (10.5-11AFR according to both the software and my wideband), and don't know why it won't lean out at WOT, is this normal? Is there a setting somewhere in the software which may not have been turned on? Or is my stock MP3 ecu blocking something?

Any help would be appreciated.
 
so...

there is a guy on here that i might buy an MPI tuner from. just wondering, i have a FMIC, Catless exhaust, SRI, type-s bov, ported exhaust mani, and thats about it. does anyone have a map that i could use for something like that? also, does the MPI program run on vista?
