What have you done to your P5 today?

i think it's mostly b/c the front wheel well starts higher up on the body. ggrr
That & the line that the bump guards on the doors follows is angled slightly. See how it is higher right at the top of the rear rim but on front is lower than the top of the front rim. That's part of what causes it to look lower in back to me. Mines the same way with 1.3 lower all the way around. Back tire looks further up in the fender well than in front. Front needs it tho due to steering.

installed springs...go ahead and flame b/c i installed msp springs w/ stock struts and have a saggy butt. but i'm a poor college kid and it only cost me 50 bux. o yea and ignore the dirt on the side, it rained the other day and haven't had a chance to wash it

on the upside, i took it for a spin down a winding road and i notice a difference, so i'll deal w/ the .5 in lower in the back

omg you installed msp springs w/ stock struts and have a saggy butt!!!!!!

haha jk, nice p5, i like the back sticker :-)

i12drivemyMP5, what you say makes sense. never looked at it that way.

The reason for not using MSP springs on stock struts is not simply aesthetic. The rear springs do not fit tightly between the spring perch and upper strut mount. If you put your car on a lift or jackstands make sure everything is seated well when you reload the suspension.

And don't go weightless over any rises. :)

It is red and I am sure it is the SRI...please someone let me know if it is the CAI. Here's a pic, but keep in mind that it is installed differently on my car due to the fact that I have an auto and the intake is for a manual.

Oh, I'm 100% positive it's an SRI when I bought it brand new.

Hmm. I wonder if I can get a peice of flexi-pipe to tuck it down in the fender. Being in FL, it gets warm in the summer, don't want no heat soak.
Keep me posted as to the buyer.

Tylor

Due to the location of the piping your going to get some "heat soak" no matter what unless you wrap the tubing.

Thanks Josh....he should know, it is his old intake! I know you said it was an SRI but someone else said that when mounted on a mtx car it would fit like a CAI. Thank you for clearing it up!

I fixed the god damn rattle on my driver side door, took the bloody interior trim off...found that the metal on the top part of the door was bent in a bit, just moved it back a bit and voila......no more rattle...

Also, getting a CX-7 antenna on monday...woo

oh joy a new noise.

when the car idles, theres a squeal. seems to go away if i rev the rpms up a little.

could it have to do with the clutch?

squeal? and goes away when you rev? wouldn't that be more with a serp belt?

as magnum predicted, my P5 is not totaled! About 4 grand in damages, but its getting fixed! :):) And I'm getting a DG grill to replace my ebay badgeless!

good to hear your p5 is going to be revived. take THAT, p5 curse!

I drove my p5 300 miles back from Montreal today...and filled her up with 93 octane in preparation for the mp3 ecu I should be receiving in the mail tomorrow...

+1 They're the same price... That's what I did - or tried to. Just make sure the shop you take it to knows there is a difference between the MSP and P5 front bumper covers. The place I took mine to didn't realize that and still ordered a P5 cover even though I told them to get a MSP one. Needless to say I had them fill in the holes for no extra cost (bang)

I am going to try for sure! I believe i am meeting up with the shop today or tomorrow so hopefully they havn't ordered that yet.

I started my car this week during the snow and when I turned on the defroster I heard the belt squeaking. Maybe that's the sound you heard.

well the climate is cold here, but its not freezing... i dont know why it started making the noise. my car should have been warmed up by then, i had already been driving for 10 minutes.

(First time posting, long time viewing)

Yesterday I installed an HID kit for my P5. And now wondering whether they are legal on the streets of Montreal. Considering how bright they look and don't know whether I need to adjust the height...
