It's....lame. If you want to do that go elsewhere. Besides, now you may actually have to post something of substance to get your # of posts to grow.

There are plenty of other forums (complete with mindless trolls) where they still have one. I suggest you go vent your urges there, and come back here when its all gone.

There is still a motorsports section, so if you grille someone at the track, auto cross, dragstrip, what ever, feel free to share your story there.

lol, I should just keep that in a word document and paste it whenever someone brings it up.

I totally agree with that...I love seeing members with post counts over 2500 who have never contributed anything of value to this forum

Thats a little harsh. Its a forum for serious Mazda talk and to just shoot the breeze. I'd hate for this to to into some hardcore elitist forum.

My P5 is totally stock. Not a single mod except for my stereo but I still feel like I'm a part of this community. Post count should not be a measure of someones.....well anything!

Noone was targeting anyone in general, but there ARE many members who only posted in the street racing section, who contribute nothing but a lot of fishing tales.

Donas64, have you ever answered anyone's question about their car? Have you ever commented on someone's new wheels? Have you ever given advice? That is what makes one a functional member...not just someone who likes to bulls***. I agree with the statement that postcount means a whole lot of nothing, I have read these forums since January of this year, not joining until October, when I had a question that the search feature couldn't answer. My post count doesn't necessarily mean I know more than someone with less, or more with someone with more, however many people do use the count as a judge of your involvement in the community. Also, in the for sale section, many people will not buy things from someone with a low post count, this may be faith that is misplaced, but the number is a sign of credibility, and those who have mainly posted a heap o'crap have very little of that.

MS6MIKE, I wasn't referring to you in general, however a section like that often attracts those who fill that stereotype. And we all know how much we all disapprove of ricers, liars, and those who would tremble in fear at the sight of your 12 second Mazdaspeed 6.

I personally believe that the community is better without a section devoted to street racing. I personally have noticed no change in my overall forum experience due to the exclusion of this section.

Sorry for the long post.

Yes on all 3 counts. I'm sure MS6Mike has also. Thats why I don't understand why you said those things in relation to him. I know you were not referring to him directly but its obvious the guy is serious about his mazda. I guess I just misconstrued your statement. My bad

antoine has spoken. nothing else needs to be said. I dont really support the decision but whats done is done. there seems to be only 1 person talking about it still so I guess the street kills section really didnt matter after all?
