Thinking of selling my MSP

Woundering how much your MSP goes for with the Mods or the condition it is in at the moment? Post in this thread and people will give their opinion on how much one goes for in said condition!

Any one have any idea what i should ask for my MSP? The mods i have on the car are mentioned below and car is in excellent shape, one onwner and never been on the track. All mods done after 50k, and now car has 70k. Please let me know, thanks.

Nokian Tires? What model? I've never heard of anyone running Nokian's non-winter tires before. Any ways ....

I think you should be able to get in the neighborhood of $14-$15k for it. Without all the mods and 70k the car would likely fetch $10-$11k, so I think my numbers would be fair. If you have the time and the stock parts still lying around you should uninstall everything and sell it. You'd get more money back that way.

its a hard car to sell bro. I had a decent amount of stuff on mine and i was hoping to get 14 out of it ^. a long time later i sold it to my buddy for 11.5. then after that you regret it anyways. i did at least

Which is why I say sell everything off of it first (well, it wouldn't be worth it to sell the rods and pistons). You'll recoup a decent amount of the money put into it and you'll entice more buyers with a nearly stock setup.

Why are you selling your EVO? Planning on going back to the msp?

no, I am back in school, and i lost my job a few months after i got it and my new job that i've been workin is basically like hell trying to do that and be a full time student. so because of financial issues and im basically tired of scraping to only get ramen noodles for the week you know. it really sucks, im going through denial. Im lookng for something in the 10k to 13k range. looking at a apr tuned a4 wagon, and some gli's, thinkin bout turboing the vr6 version.

-good news is i do have a pretty good new job again im starting up next week.

taking everything off it and replacing it with stock is too much labor, so wouldn't be doing that

these are all season tires, the model is WR for the Nokian all season tires, they work really good in snow and in dry. I don't know if i want to sell at such low prices, seems too low for the quality parts that has gone in it, so, i don't know if i will want to part with it if it's so low a price.

Ahh, the great misconception that modifying a car increases it's value by the same amount you put into it. You'll be lucky to get 50% of your money back for the aftermarket parts. Just look at this for sale thread. It's depressing, but that's the way things are. A modded car will only sell for a few thousand over what the car would sell for in stock configuration.

I always knew that the expenses in modifying would never be fully recovered at the time of selling it, however, at the time i wasn't thinking of selling it.

I was and still am having great fun with this car!

Very nice. I think if you post it as for sale on the forum someone will buy it, but it will probably take a really long time.

Thanks for the compliment! i will be looking into the post for sale on the forum, i'm not very familiar with how to post for sale and kind of lazy getting around to doing it, i had tried for some stock parts I have with me some time ago but then the forum here said that i have to take pictures so i never got around to it. I still have all the stock parts with me, i don't know what to do with them any more but to give them to anyone who will buy the car or throw it!

If you have the stock parts saved that is a plus. Even if it isnt worth it to put it back to stock at least the next owner could have the chance to do that because you saved the parts.

It will increase your chances of selling the car if you still have the stock parts. My car was not stock when I bought it (CF hood, CAI, FMIC). It's one of the reasons why he had trouble selling it. It was an absolute pain in the butt for me to get the car back to stock, but eventually I got it done. Since I love working on cars and pulling stuff apart, uninstalling the mods wasn't that big of a deal for me. Your best chance of selling as-is would be on this forum. All you need when posting is a sign with your username, the current date, and the name of the forum. In the post make sure people know how to get in touch with you (phone, email, etc).

Personally if your car is running well, and I was in the market, I would probably consider buying it since it's pretty much got everything done to it. It's also a color more people would be interested in, and not yellow (only certain people like yellow).

Thank you for giving me this insight. I will get this done, pics with user name date and name of forum which is "Mazdaforums", right? I will consider __ k, I think it is a fare price for the value of quality mods on here. Thanks again.

Always ask higher than want you will settle for. No one offers asking price. Start at like 17500 or something (or best offer). Post and if it doesn't sell move the price down a bit after a few weeks. Continue until it sells or you don't get what you want for it. Also delete all posts in this thread that talk about price since you don't want someone searching for your posts and finding out your bottom line.
