How much would you say my MSP is worth?

Always ask higher than want you will settle for. No one offers asking price. Start at like 17500 or something (or best offer). Post and if it doesn't sell move the price down a bit after a few weeks. Continue until it sells or you don't get what you want for it. Also delete all posts in this thread that talk about price since you don't want someone searching for your posts and finding out your bottom line.

Modding a car doesn't devalue it. Thats just what some smuck says to get you to lower the price. I'd sell it for $14500 atleast. And if someone can't get that amount of money...then they dont deserve the car in the first place.

riiiight...actually it does because the rest of the consumers who are looking to buy the car can see it is no longer engineered as the company who made it intended and assume its been beat on...dumbest thing i have ever heard...

Not to mention its considered less reliable. Once a car is extremely modded, there is no telling what can go wrong. Especially because you dont know how well it was built.

man , now that you mentioned it , i can take the Perrin FMIC (depending on price). What custom job you've got on tranny ?? and you using GREEDY E-MANAGE BLUE, how's that working for you ??lmk

good luck selling a msp in ohio. I have been thinking about selling mine for a long time now. but I keep looking in autotrader and some of the msp's have been in there for months. I do not want to sell my msp for the same price of a protege. and thats about what they go for. pisses me off. I want to get rid of it so bad but I think I am going to keep it and just let it sit. I already filled the paper work out to pull the registration. just have to mail the plates in

^^^^ whats wrong werx, why so not happy w/ msp ??FYI - even evo's are solds bc ppl didn't like em and loss a lot, you'll be lucky to get as much from used car especially moded in general so don't blame msp's fate for that.

I am not going to remove the perrin FMIC because that involves changing the car too much. I am running 17 pounds boost on the car so the FMIC is doing an excellent job for that kind of power. The tranny is the PAR austrailian racing transmission, sounds great and has a shorter ratio. It does about 40 mph on 1st gear and about 60 mph on 2nd gear. Real good set up with stronger gears that can handle lots and lots of hp!! Greddy e-manage is good, had to get it tuned really well to get it to where i want it. It used to be difficult when weather changed because it used to mess with the air fule ratio, but now after many hours on the dyno it's doing great, much better than the stock emanage.

This might be the option that i go for too. I like the car and don't want to get rid of it at the same price as the standard protege cars! It's sad that the MSP doesn't have the value in the market that it deserves, though!

It took me13 months to sell my MSP in Ohio....And that was when it was only two years old with 30K miles.

the thing with evos is that they can be sold, and they do not go for the same price as a standard lancer. even if they are modded they still sell fast.it goes to show the msp was not a fully thought out idea. I like the car dont get me wrong. just looking back I should have made a more informed decision. thankfully the srt4 had just came out and was not in stock at any of the dealers or I would have been driving one of those.

Sorry, i've not taken pics of the engine bay yet. I was thinking i will do it with the date and name mentioned on paper with the picture. I'll get it done tomorrow hopefully, if it doesn't rain again like today.

not completely, true that they dont sell for the price of a standard lancer like the msp does. but they loss alot of value and dont sell much faster than an msp. ppl seem to be more concerned about trying to drop my allready incredibly low price then to take a second and realize that finding an evo that HASN't been beat on is probably the most important thing.

-I had one chick try to offer me 20k!! she had 2 zo6's and an evo 9, im pretty sure she could afford my 25k asking price, but she tryed 20, seriously, you cant find an evo with less than 70k on it for 20k, none the less a perfect MR with acd and barely used! sorry i was just insulted.

I still haven't put up the engine bay pics yet, i will be getting around to it soon, it's been raining a bit here and haven't got around to it. I also had someone interested in the car recently so i don't know what will happen in the next week or so, i think if anyone is interested or knows anyone interested to send me a msg here and i'll get back with more pictures.
