Hello... New here to the forums, Some questions

Hello all,

I just picked up a MS6 Sport last night. an 06, used.. pretty cheap (thumb)

Anyway I have a question. Is it normal that say switching from 1st to 2nd and to 3rd the back end feels like it vibrates? It's every time the clutch disengages when you press it.

Also is it normal that there is lag, like changing gears and then gunning it the power is not smooth, it sorta lags then BAM! power, or like starting from standnig still you go normal in 1st then all of the sudden BAM! power.

Thanks and looking forward to meet some ppl!

BTW i'm in CT

No. I dont even know where to begin diagnosing this problem.

Yes. This is normal with all turbo cars, and especially with 2006 MS6's that are not reflashed. There is a separate topic somewhere on the forum that has to deal with the 2006 MS6's being recalled so that the dealer could re-program the ECU. This new program allowed for a much more linear throttle response. I believe there should be a sticker in the driver's door jamb to let you know if the recall was done. I am not positive on the location of it, because I refuse for the dealer to reprogram me.

Anyway, welcome to the forums, and congrats on the new car. You will love it.

exactly. if you have never driven a turbo car, it is a different feel than just straight engine power.

the recall sticker will be in the drivers door jamb, up on the front fender side. at least thats where it is on mine.

thanks. Well I come from the supercharged engine... (mini cooper S) lol.. different way of delivering the power, that's for sure. I'll check on the sticker tomorrow.

Thank you again.
