GP Light Weight Protege pulleys

You got away lucky I always get the "standard" 45$ charge for customs brokerage, someone told me that there is a way to clear the item on your own to save that brokerage fee...wish I could remember would have saved me close to 1000$ by now

I'd rather wait an extra week with USPS than pay UPS $20 for their 'handling fee' bull.

I had to pay UPS $20 on a $10 item once...

Using USPS over UPS is a good way to start saving. USPS will not charge customs on things that have a posted value of under $100, where UPS will charge 'brokerage' no matter what you ship.

+1, I would just stay with USPS even if it takes longer...

^^ Same. In fact, I would be less likely to buy with UPS as the shipping method, because to me that is like tacking on an extra $20 to $50 to the price for a few days less wait.

Maybe just let the Canadian buyers pick their shipping method? Anyone who picks USPS isn't allowed to complain :p

I'd rather pay extra for USPS, but have it shipped Express Mail (not regular service). Atleast that way we get a proper tracking #, and it arrives in 5-7 business days. This excessive wait for an item that has literally shipped is ridiculous (Not Brach's fault though).

Update. Went by the anodizer today and they had the pulleys in the tank. So they said to come by on Monday to get them.
If you are in Canada I have custom's numbers from your shipments. USPS just plain is not working for the canadians. So next shipments will go UPS with tracking.

NO NO... don't use UPS, they charge brokerage fees on top of the taxes and **** us around if we try to clear customs and get around their fees.

USE FedEx FedEx FedEx FedEx FedEx FedEx FedEx

The prices are identical to UPS, maybe even a little lower.

ya well they can choose to pay for the extra expensese, I'm not paying as much in border fees as I am for the product

Most of the people north of the border were complaining about taking too long to get their orders.
Scroll up ... there's like 5 in a row.

That wasn't really complaining just commenting from people in Canada to other Canadians that ordered stuff from Brach who wanted to know if anyone received anything yet to gauge on when they would get theirs

Brach, so the crank pulleys are next? And when would we be getting them.

The crank pulleys are next. The crank pulleys are going to be solid aluminum. This is because of the amount it will cost for a 2pc one with urethane. It will cost me almost $300 a pulley at 50pc for the 2pc one. So, it will be a stock size light weight crank pulley.

They will be solid aluminum due to cost. I just don't see 50 people paying $312 (my cost) plus shipping for the 2pc filled pulley.
So the GP will be for a lightweight billet aluminum crank pulley. They will be $99 -$105 shipped. Just waiting for the price from the anodizer, boxes, shipping and so on to make it final. I started making them over the weekend and will be taking orders once the PS pulleys have shipped. The crank pulley will take about 2 weeks from time of your payment to time it ships. This is because the added machine time, material costs, laser cutter and for the boxes to come in from Uline.

^second that!
And it's a shame about the crank pulley, but we understand why you made that decision. Please thank the engineer who worked on this on my/our behalf as it seems he did his homework and then some when it came to this awesome piece. And thank you (again!) for all your work on all this stuff you are selling for the Proteg community. I can only imagine how much of your personal time is being invested into this, and even though you're probably making a bit of money off of this (more when you get your next batches out), it's still a big sacrifice and I have no doubt EVERYONE here appreciates it greatly.
Bravo for taking the initiative on a quickly growing project and on a massively successful undertaking!!! (rockon) (yippy) (thumb) (dance) (first) (10)

Since I already have a solid aluminum crank pulley(UR), I don't see jumping in on this but am anxiously awaiting the res caps & battery tie down. Ditto on the props mentioned in the post above!

so is the one piece going to give us any problems with out the harmonic balancer?? this is the only car i have and i don't need to throw a bearing or anything else.
