The only fast car color is RED. SATIMKO can 2nd that. lol
Just had to mess with you guys. Silver is fast behind me.

Well, I'm picking up my '02 MP5 from the dealership in the morning and I figured this would make the best first post for me.

I am beyond excited to be suying such a great car with an already wonderful platform with tons of potential. I've already been doing tons of research for modding and I'm sure I'll be a member for a long time.

I'm selling my '97 Honda Civic (apparently a bad word around here, haha. But totally understandable, damn ricers ruin the whole scene) for $2K to invest into the MP5. I'll start with these mods;
-short shifter and bushings
-short air intake
-lowering springs
-rear tint
-catback exhaust
and plenty more

Gotta get back to searching threads for oppinions and reviews! Just wanted to introduce myself.

Welcome. And you got the FASTER color. Great choice. I take it you are on your way to picking her up. Enjoy! As always dont forget to do the little things first before moding. Oil, wires, spark plug (long reach) Check all liquids levels. Also the brake and rotors. Silver FTW!!!!

It might be the faster color, but the wagon is still slower than the sedan...:p

Now, now... its all fun and games until some one gets hurt (lol2)... yet who got the P5 bumper w/fogs ? U just wish you had the wagon; no need to hate (cabpatch)

Welcome to the boards Lewis

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I've been into the import scene for a few years now, and again, don't worry, I will not rice this thing out and I follow the "function over fashion" rule.

I picked it up this morning and I absolutely love this car. I paid $8k w/ 83k miles out the door and the salesman was really nice and said he is going to hook me up on Mazdaspeed parts.

First off is indeed plugs, oil change, filters and basic stuff. No neon, wings and bass cabinets for me.

Not to burst anyone's bubble here or anything but my front bumper is from a MSP, note the lack of the reflector hole:) And dont even try me on the side skirts because theres still some spicy paint left on the insides lol. Im not hating, 22V FTW, its just a known fact that the sedans are faster:p lol

here's a few pics of my little job that i did.

i guess it all depends on the driver. A buddy of mine has a 02 protege and when my p5 was stock i would walk away from him.

oooo i got this i got this

we have rear disc brakes

bahahahaha pwned

I was thinking what kind of color scheme to go with on the new car and was thinking blue. Because blue and silver looks bad-ass. Then i was thinking red and silver look slick too. Then I actually drove the P5 at night last night with the gauge cluster lights on. Hell yeah, it looks damn good in red! I think I'll stick to a red and silver scheme.

Not to sound like a noob guys, but this car just keeps impressing me the more I drive it. (2thumbs)
