wheel question!

You may remember me asking a fitment question regarding ce28n time attacks... unfortunately that didnt work out (as many of you said lol). Anyways, i now have my eye on the new Advan RC III... will I have any problems going from a 17x7.5 +48 to the advan 17x8 +53??


I want to order them soon so that they get here as winter is ending

Do you live in the southern hemisphere?

With that wheel size, I'd be worried about the inside of the tires rubbing on the strut body.

no, I live in the northern but with the wheels coming from Japan it will probably be about 4-5 months.

Yeah, the rubbing and the offset is what I am worried about, does anyone know for sure?

I'm pretty sure that 8" wide will not be a problem, what I do not know about is the offset?

njaremka is looking to run 16x8" rims with 225/45s and he's pretty thorough with this kind of thing. PM him about the offset.

first, i responded to your PM, but i'll post here too...

53mm offset is a bit high, but it shouldn't be much to run a 3mm spacer and get them right on. you'll just have to make sure your tire size is just right, or you'll be rubbing the fender.
