Roof Rack on MS3

i have the thule roof rack too, if you dont have the wind guard on there, it will howel a lil bit, and if you do it yourself its pretty easy! and i love that i can throw my mtn bike and kayak on the top of my car!

if you want better fitment and want to go through the trouble, replace the roof mouldings with the canadian *normal* mazda3 ones, it has filler caps for an optional canadian roof rack like what the cx7 has

Hey guy seriously the roof rack looks like crap... u must get horrible horrific gas mileage with that piece of metal and plastic on top of a beautiful turboed machine. Putting a roof rack on there is like me carrying a bed around on top of my speed 6 roof. Take it off.

Those of you crapping on the OP for putting a rack on the MS3 are just silly. What he did is smart and economical. To the guy that suggested a truck, are you crazy? 4cyl turbo hatch with a rack gets better mileage than a truck any day. I think it's classy and a smart use of the vehicle.

Smart and economical. And I think it actually looks good considering it is a hunk of metal on the top of your roof. I'd defintely get one if we didn't have a Mz5 as well.

To those guys who are criticizing: don't tell me you're THAT narrow-minded or short-sighted? Oh that's it, you guys are in your twenties and haven't had the pleasure of having to go to Home Depot to fix up the house. Or You just drive around all day without a care in the world.(blowup)

yea that must be it. while you go to home depot to fix up your house ill be spending my days in front of my waterfront property that needs nothing but the lawn cut. being mid 20's isnt so bad ill tell ya. oh, and i just use my truck if i need something that doesnt fit in my SPORTSCAR.

Even when I was in my 20's I didn't think I knew it all. Roof rack is smart and economical.

The speed3 is a sports car, but it is still a hatchback and designed to be used as such. Just because it is quick and handles well doesn't mean that you should never use it for hauling bulky items.

I would say that over half of the people that own trucks never use them to their potential. Not to mention, can you put bikes in the bed of your pickup and still retain it's cargo space?

Sounds like someone has too much money. I guess nothing ever breaks when you have enough money.

I won't own a truck because I don't need a truck. They are a waste of metal and I'll rent one if I ever need one. A rack is much less expensive than owning two cars.

i was just yankin the guys chain. and can anyone ever have too much money? with exception to people like Oprah, no. you wouldnt complain if your checking funds wouldnt exacerbate any other stress you may have because its got a big number in it, would you? i didnt think so. i already said though....the roof rack is his deal. he posted it. i shot my objective opinion. people disagreed with his opinion to put one on and people disagreed with mine to take it off. its a forum. its an opinion. taadaa.
