Should She Wait

My girlfriend is going to buy an mp3. She really loves the car, as do I. I am writing this to ask if she should wait until the new turbo model comes out. There was a post a while back that i saw that showed a link that said there would be a turbo model out later on. Should she wait? Thanks

id go and get it...there really isnt a guarantee that a turbo model will surface
its a great car, worth every penny, even without a turbo

Well how much did you guys pay for it. She would be paying about 20-21 after taxes. It would be yellow too. Thats the best part.

I paid 18,600 and i got everything but the sec. The car is alot of car for the money. How many miles are on it? Id make sure that it doesnt have like a lot miles on it becuase mine was like 4 miles.

that sounds fair, i overpaid as far as the sticker goes.i would NOT pay over 21,000+ tax for the car.

I paid $18,440, and mine had all three options(cargo net, perimeter alarm, and wheel locks). But after taxes and out the door it was a little under $19,800. The only reason I could see them charging over sticker is that they have finally realized that these are hot commodities, and everyone wants one. Try to keep the barganing going for about two days and they will get antsy and just want you to buy it. Then they will drop the price. It is a lot of stress fighting with them for many hours, but it is worth it if you will save a few thousand dollars.

i paid 22,500 for drive out and it came with the leather seats and sunroof. as soon as my ex-Si was flooded and i knew there were MP3s available. i went to 6 different dealers to bargin a good deal. only one stick with msrp+TTL...the others over 2000$. but only one in blue at that time and have package. no choice at all so i got it.

If Mazda does a turbo Protege, it won't be called MP3. The MP3 Protege is a one time deal...

Wow mx6929, I think that was a great deal, I would love to have leather and a sun roof! As far as the next MP3 is concerned, I think that Chris is right, but if they do make a similiar vehicle, I think it will be a lot more expensive then what we paid. Mazda probably made little or no money on the MP3's, they were just selling them on a trial basis and to promote themselves.

Here is what I did to get them at sticker price.... Forget about the salesman that is working with you and go to the Sales Manager. (Make sure you want the car that night) Go up to the sales manager and say youll have this car sold tonight if you give me sticker for it. My car was marked up $4500 and After i said that the Manager gave me a weird look and said ok. and i took the car home that night.
im not sure if it will work for you but its worth a try.

I guess I was lucky, the dealership I bought mine at said the price was sticker. No mark-up...

protege 5 seat's (leather) i sure they would fit our mp3's.not that there is anything wrong w/ the cloth set we have but fot those guys who want leather,that would be the route.

heres what you do, make sure you are totaly ready to buy the car, like he said, and go to the dealership about eight or nine at night, dealerships have quotas to meat and they also get bonuses, so their sometimes desperate at these time. i did this and paid 16,000 before tax. i even got the floor mats and nice radio.

Thanks Swimmer! And I strongly agree with ur opinion. I think Mazda just wanna let folks know more about their cars, so our MP3s came out to the public. If u guys know there are new generation 626s are coming, u will know why they made MP3 first.

Great job frady2001! I don't even think about that price in my dream.
