I cant seem to find any info on what lip fits the protege(99-00) or where I can even find a lip to fit the protege :/ Can anyone please let me know where I can find one or if I can mod a civic lip..
I've been trying to find out the same thing. Seems like there are so many people giving varying answers from Civics to Accords from different years. Personally I don't have money to blow buying and trying out lips. So if anybody who has ACTUALLY put a non protege lip on with minor modification can post a straight forward answer that would be tits.
well to be honest people have used the civic and accord lips theres actually a few threads on the subject here on 247 have you searched yet. Id look but im to lazy.
As far as other ones, people have used the HD lip (home depot) its weather stripping screwed on to it. For that one quite a few have done it, off the top of my head i know sleezer1355 has the HD lip, ajkulish had the civic lip but he never perfected it he ended up getting a msp front end and the msp lip. A few have used the a subie lip i think Repthamazdas has one on his car.
If you dont find it in the search feature try google itll take you where you need to go. Good luck I just gave up looking for the protege one people want outrageous prices for them and im not gonna mod a lip i just bought the msp front end also
I have a HD lip on my car and personally don't care for it, just not the look I wanted. I've seen both type-r and mugen on our pro's but no good instructions as to how they got them to fit. Seems like everything is either short or long. I can fix long, but too short is another story because I have never messed with fiberglass
Edit: just double checked the "Type R Lip?" Thread and it seems the accord mugen 94-97 and accord type R 98-01 are you best bets having actual pictures with the claims

^ yeah i feel ya on some cars the HD lip looks ok but i was never a fan of it or the Type R lip. To me they just dont go with the pro but thats just me.
I know everyone always say to do the conversion to the 01-03 but if your finances allow for it and you dont mind have you given it a thought of course you would have to change the whole front end (bumper w/support, fenders, hood, and grill) IDK how your money is but to me the 03.5 or the DG Lip look a whole lot better to me
the best lip for the 99-00 is the 01+ sedan lip IMO, I have come to like my front better than the MSP front end. Although, if i ever get backed into or hit a deer or something I will be going the MSP front end.
