I had the car fairly well apart for a timing belt job, thermostat, and 100 other little things.

I have an air tube? that I'm not sure where it goes.
I'm assuming into the air box? but don't see it.... some kind of air intake tube

does anyone recognize this and want to lend input?




also my lower stock air box is cracked up and in need of replacement
I posted a WTB add, but if anyone has upgraded to a cone filter and wants to sell a stock lower air box (base) I'm in the market


car is a 1997 protege 1.5

Thats a part for the air intake.

I thought it might be, but couldn't figure out where to attatch it...

my air filter box has a tube that goes down and into the fender well to the air accumulator box....

does this piece feed the accumulator?
I'll look further, but what direction or what is it near too?

found it....

it feeds fresh air to the battery
probably venting fumes
