Warranty question

So ive heard that Mazda is pretty stingy as far as warranties are concerned, but does anyone know/think that they would void your warranty if you get a turbo timer? Its not like its a performance mod or anything, just more like preventative maintenance. Just wondering what everyone thought.

umm, just had a cracked Intercooler Pipe replaced by my dealer 3 days ago. I have a Turbo Timer, Boost Gauge, FPR kit........and so on (read my signature).
No questions asked.

I hear a lot depends on if the dealer is cool or just dumb because there is a law about modding vehicles and they have to show that the aftermaket part is directly related to any vehicle failure.

You think we have it bad when it comes to warranty issues? In my dads Porsche, when the guys in the shop hook it up to there computer it displays how many times the engine compartment has been opened. If it has been opened more than twice his warranty is void. The only two times it should be opened is when its down there for its twice a month tune up by certitied Porsche engineers. Its ridiculous. :wtf:

He can't even check out his engine when he wants to???!!! THAT SUX!!! If I had a new porsche, I would consider that one of the perks.:)
