A little off topic, but I used to live in phoenix (awataukee) at the corner of S. 48th St. and Chandler and there was a gas station east of 48th st. (I think east, away from 10) right next to the Checkers and sonic and they had 100+ octane gas you could pump. I used to get it for my 4-wheeler before we went riding. Not sure of the exact octane , but it was 100 or so. Check it out.smp3000 said:Is anyone here having problems in first gear with the A/f ratios going crazy and off the charts? Sorry if this is a thread jack.
But onthe gas issue. Out here in Phoenix 91octane is as good as we get. Fortunately we're about 2,000 feet above sea level so that helps, but the addition of torco gas additive has helped a bunch if you guys havent' checked it out do it! you can get it here http://www.need4speedpower.com/gtafuel.html
Also luckily Beau of MAM showed me an air field not far from wher eI live that you can go get 101 octane for only 2.60 a gallon. Have to do it at night or you et in trouble but it's worth it!!! Running a 50/50 mix of that and 101 is ideal.![]()
