Ultimate Racing Here...

Hey guys,

Let me formally introduce myself as Darryl from Ultimate Racing. We are one of the largest import performance manufacturing shops in Canada.

Over the past little while I've received numerous emails regarding products for the Mazdaspeed Protege. It wasn't until today where someone directed me towards this forum and I must say that I am impressed.

We've obtained a pretty impressive track record in the past couple years for producing quality aftermarket parts. Our Honda/Acura Turbo Kits and exhausts, Subaru WRX Staged Upgrades, and recently the Mitsubishi Evolution VIII products have proven themselves to be some of the best on the market.

I stress the word quality as that's what we're about. We are not the type to use an inferior material to lower costs. What you pay for is what you get. That's the bottom line. Our products might be priced a tad higher than the leading major manufacturers, but I can assure you, you're getting the best.

We offer a 5-year warranty on everything we make in-house. Not because we like fixing and repairing products, but because we have that much confidence in our quality and workmanship.

What I'd like from you guys is a realistic assessment of what types of products you guys are looking for.

For your viewing pleasure, here are some snap-shots of products we currently have in production for other vehicles. Just to give you an idea of what we've done in the past:

Your products look impressive, indeed. (2thumbs)

From an N/A standpoint, here's what we P5 owners want:

1. Header that retains all sensors, so as not to throw a CEL, and hopefully one that keeps both cats for emissions reasons.

2. In the same vein, I'd like to see a high-flow cat(s) (It'd be nice if this product has both the secondary and primary cats)

That's all I can think of at the moment ... I'm sure the turbo-techies will chime in with their opinions and needs. :)

Welcome aboard and hope to see some good products in the future from your company for the MSP.

Hell yeah come on guys we need to show some intrest in his company. He was close to not doing anyting for our cars.

I would say Darryl right off the bat we need some kind of Fuel Management unit. Alot of people are saying the car is running really rich. Plus there has been alot of people saying that with just a couple mods like 3" exhaust a bigger FMIC and a CAI. We can get a lot out of these cars.

Oh yeah and Thank you for taking my e-mail on this site and the people here.

I second that request!! I know Darryl only mentioned the Mazdaspeed Protege, but let's show him the greed for DECENT Protege5 parts as well :)

I have a Turbo XS Bypass Valve on my stock piping right now. It is easy to setup.

We have an Acura RSX Type-S, and the new Honda Civic Si turbo kits in production along with the Honda S2000. Of course, we've made dozens of custom B and H-Series kits in the past.

We've never had anyone claim a warranty on our products. However, I will be honest in saying that we had a recall on Greddy E-Manage units for the S2000 turbo kit as Greddy had released a new firmware for it.

Even more interested in you guys since you are in Canada !!!

Although, I won't doing anything major to the speed for about a year. Little things are no troubles

BOV, CAI, exhaust, pulley's, fly wheels are all little things that can be bought over time

FMIC, turbo upgrade etc maybe in time but not this year.

I hope you guys do well, I'd really like to see a Canadian shop support the Protege's

Don't forget Turbo kits for P5's/MP3's/ES's etc. Seeing as their are few Canadian shops doing quality Turbo kits for anyone yet alone Protege's, there should be something there for you.

TURBO-BACK 3" EXHAUST
ENGINE/FUEL MANAGMENT UNIT
FMIC KIT

basically anything and everything! But this is a start.

Daryl,

First off, thank you for your interest! It seems that since this is a limited production vehicle, is there aren't going to be alot of aftermarket manufacturers who are willing to spend the time and money in R&D. We have had help from a select few like Joe P and Injen, but otherwise not much yet. So again, THANK YOU!

Secondly, what I would like has already been mentioned:
1) Turbo back exhaust or if nothing else a quality cat-back.
2) Down pipe
3) Front mount intercooler w/ hard piping
4) Hard pipes for existing intercooler set-up
5) Engine/fuel management kit
6) Whatever else you frickin want...there are people here with money very willing to spend it

GI
