Took a look at the 2003.5 Mazdaspeed.

I did figure out the controversy with no fog lights. The bumper is the same as last years or even just like our P5's without the orange sidemarker light. The asthetic difference is that they put on a front lip spoiler that lowers the front a bit and covers up the fog light holes with black inserts (fake mesh) direct air to the brakes. Actually, when looking at it closely (mechanic like) I really like it. It would look cool on a P5 for those who don't want fogs. If you take this front lip spoiler off it is the same as ours.

Also, the exhaust blows! The Mazdaspeed stuff inside doesn't look as good as the Sparco either. They should have left it all alone.

Bijou-MP5 - this spoiler would cover up your front crack perfectly!

Here ya' go:

The front bumper has a front lip on it that curves up and over the fog light holes to the inside of the front grill outer edges.

its out already?!?!?

i want the mazdaspeed doorsills =D

hmmm, the fake mesh inserts that cover the foglights are part of the new front lip? if you buy this front lip seperately than would you have instant foglight covers or would they hit our p5 fogs?

gotta go to delaers to check this out =D

thanks for the heads up

I work near the Mazda port in Richmond, and there are 100's of Mazdaspeed's sitting there right now. It looks like we get three color choices now, Yellow, Spicy Orange, and a Gunmetal Grey. The grey looks good with the new Gunmetal wheels.

Here. You'll get a better idea with these

My car will be here tonight, I'll get some more pics the weekend.

If you want stock fogs to fit still, no one knows yet. I plan on trying it. You'l have to cut the black grill out for sure, and maybe dremel some of the openin a bit to fit in in. Once I see my car, I plan on Measuring everything, and taking the fog from my mp3, and seeing if there's any chance of getting it in there. It looks tight. All else fails, Catz fogs sell a smaller light that's 85W(125) that will fit for sure.

the bumper from the 03 msp and p5 is NOT the same part. they have different part numbers according to my dealer and there are visible differences. the stock foglamps will not fit the slots as the slots on the 03.5 are just that much smaller. some cutting might do the trick.

I don't think Mazdaspeed Protege's require the "filthy rich" status to buy them. Maybe moderatly comfortable.

The grey definitly looks the best. All they need to do is give me Black as well.

Bah!! I was at the dealer this afternoon getting my 1000km fluid check and free wash, and they had a 2003.5 Yellow. The new tailpipe is gash! Its big and oval and UGLY. The new Mazdaspeed shifter isn't too bad, neither are the house pedals. I still don't like the new wing either.

For those wanting fogs, the hole is smaller, square, and faces out to the sides a bit, so it will be tough getting the stock lights back in there without cutting.

I love the new rims, they are kind of HyperBlack I guess, and if I want to buy them from my dealer, is $706CAD per rim, no tire. OUCH!
