just wanted to get sum input on 2 potential mods:

1. T3/T4: i remember back in the spring somebody posted pics of a T3/T4 being installed in their msp. how is it working? how's the lag?

2. Has anyone gone stand alone? if so, what brand and what other parts (ignition wise) did you need to get?

if anyone has thoughts supporting or discouraging these mods, please lemme know.

peace.

Haven't heard of any MSPs with standalone. Some people have tried a piggyback system like the GReddy eManage, unable to get it to work unfortunately. Apparently perfworks has a new Protege piggyback for ~$675. Hopefully he'll post the results soon on that.

If you want a standalone, I'd go with an Electromotive TEC3, about $2,500.

For a T3/T4 setup, expect to reinforce the engine and tranny. From stock, expect a good, functional setup to cost around $8,500.

Actually, OrangeMSP has a T3/04e hybrid in his MSP. He has not done any work to internals or the tranny. His car was really bad for a while and then he did something to the wastegate and now it runs pretty well, although he's definately not getting all of the power out of it yet. You will need a standalone to properly tune a T3/04 setup.

Exactly. :) I'd like to know the details on his setup, but I know our internals and clutch won't last long with a T3/T4 at moderate boost.

I'll have him get on here... I know he bought most of the stuff from spool with the exception of the turbo itself.

no doubt. i wuz runnin' 14 psi on the t-25 (before it conked out) and my tranny's hurtin' already.

Running a FMU and voltage clamp at 6 PSI untill I find a Stand-Alone. Been waiting for the Microtech.
