I have a kid so I would need a four door, which is why I bought a MSP.

So for a four door I would pick a E36 M3 four door. I actually wanted to get one but my wife wanted me to get something newer if I spent that much $.

If I could get away with a two seater I would go for either a C4 vette or pickup a turbo miata.

the e30 m3 is a very nice car but its really hard to find a clean one and they usualy go for 15k and up. the maintnance on those cars cost an arm and a leg too

actualy i think the miata is ur best bet, just becuase u can find a clean one for under 10k, and maintnance is not that expensive. the only con for the miata is that its considered to be a girl's/gay guy's car.. so dont expect a pussy magnet lol

I'm not actually getting a car. Just seeing what every one likes under 10k.
You always see threads like "What car would you buy for $100k" etc.
I Saw a really nice (BMW) M3 yesterday for $10k. It just got me thinking.

As for the miata, I do plan to get one eventually as a track car. I'm married going on 4 years, and we've been together for 9 years so a pussy magnet isnt needed.

I've got a '95. It's a "t" so it has the limited slip diff. But it's an auto(slow!). I had to buy, got it for $1,700 w/112,000 miles and it needed about $400 worth of work. It's the nicest beater I've ever owned (thumb)
