"Stopping voice control" over speakers when engine starts

For the last several weeks the word "stopping voice control" are said to me repeatedly whenever I turn on my car. Anyone else had this? I have messes around with the GPS setting to no avail. Any ideas? It is getting annoying.

It happens to me every once in a while. With the car off, remove the SD card from the slot, wait a minute, then put it back in. Not an elegant solution, but it works for a few months at a time. I think I've done it twice or three times since I got it back in June of '12.

Mine just started doing that too. Very annoying since I did nothing different to it. Thanks for the 'fix.'

You have to update your tomtom firmware which fixes this problem.
