well if you cant use them on her car I know a certain Fc that could use some...
*cough*sunday is my birthday*cough*
lol
I know someone who used rx7 calipers and rx8 rotors on his second gen mx6 and I have no doubt it will work on a protege. I don't know where your how-to is, but if you need to get rid of those fd calipers drop me a line!!!
yeah but you need to go 5 lug as well (enguard)
I'm working on an adaptor bracket for this that should apply to the BJ GD GE and GF platforms if anyone is still interested.
I should be able to have several brackets made for a couple different size OEM rotors from 11.1" ( MSP 98+ 626 and early Mazda6) 11.8" (late Mazda6) and 12.6" (MazdaSpeed 6 and 3)
You cant use a rotor with a deeper offset since the stock rotor is just a few scant MM from the balljoint so a bracket is needed.
Also the bolt holes are just slightly further apart on the FC/FD caliper than the GD- GE- GF and BJ knuckle.
The only things I can say for sure are than they wont fit 10.2" rotors ( stock on all GE cars and 5 lug BJ's and they wont fir OE 15" wheels.
The 11.1" setup might clear OE Probe 16" wheels but may need a spacer to clear the spokes.
Bump this thread if you are interested.
Try it and report back.
According to Ken at PG, rear MSP calipers are uniquely their own. Nothing else bolts up BUT other pads will work.
How much for the brackets...?
Sounds interesting lmk the details. I am currently running rota slipstreams in 15" which cleared on my msp calipers and fit on my rx7
