Found this post on another board posted by Roger himself.

Roger Foo is no longer...

Affiliated with Team Protomotive, Jim Jordan, Joe Jordan or it's entities.
Roger Foo is not liable nor has ever been liable for balances outstanding by Team Protomotive.

If you are owed money by Team Protomotive from this past season, please do not ask me for payment. I am in line as well. If you have any further questions you can email me. If you are thinking about partnering with the team, please consult me for the honest facts.

Happy Holidays!

Boy doesnt sound like things were going very well there. Hopefully he finds another ride pretty soon. Maybe with another Mazda team.

The really sad and scary part is that Jim Jordan is a Mazda employee and was significant in getting the Mazda factory support for the Protoge teams. I have spoken to Jim before and he is very serious about getting the Mazdas to the front of the pack, if he is having trouble with his team that could be a bad thing for Mazda. If he is having problems with cashflow and has to drop out, hopefully Mazda will still support the teams.

I dont know any more about the story than this right now, so dont read into it too much, but from the post I am just speculating on things that might come. I am going to speak both to Roger and to Jim and if I get any more info I will pass it along.

I don't think Mazda has much too worry about with the loss of Foo. He really never wasn't a front runner anyway (from what I've witnessed). Foo is only one car while you still have the multiple cars from OPM and Tripoint; all of which are typical front runners.

Where'd you find this story? It's the first I've heard of it.

I found it on the SCCA forums. I dont think that Roger leaving is that big a deal. I am more concerned with the state of Jim Jordan and his team that Roger is leaving. As an employee of Mazda and being so instrumental in bringing Mazdas to the front, this could be a major blow to Mazda involvement.

However, you are right, with OPM and TriPoint already doing so well it may not make that much difference.

hmm..It sounds like Foo is leaving because his team went belly up. I didn't know the original post was originally by Foo.

well, proteges are still running strong, foo or not...but it does suck, because he was promoting proteges, a lot of people purchased their cars with his influence.

I have emailed both of them and am waiting for replies. If I get any news I will pass it along. Like I said before, not too worried about Roger leaving as much as the team going belly up when the team manager is a Mazda employee.

Anyhow, you all will know anything as soon as I do.

Damn, that sucks, Jim is a good guy. I'd hate to see his team fall short.

Donations anyone?!?

Well guys, I spoke with Jim Jordan who runs Rogers team and it turns out its not as bad as it sounds. Roger is leaving the team, but should be back next season, possibly with a Mazda.

Jim Jordans team will return and support will be good.

Dont want to get into any more details at the request of the team, but all is looking ok and Mazda will be back in full force and support for the teams next season. Cant wait.
