Also, the safety network (which we have in parts of IN) works better in a passport than a V1. I'm sure the V1 has to have it, but you wouldnt believe how much info the passport picks up. I dont even need to check the traffic in the morning. I just get on the road and the passport tells me where the hotspots are, and which exits are the least crowded.

SWS alerts are a function of usually state DOT's. Indiana has had them up in Gary (by Chicago) and in parts of Indianapolis for a while. By 2004 the whole damn state is going to be wired for them. As for emergency vehicle light ups (when an ambulance is coming up a side street, say) that is a function often of individual departments, municipalities, or townships, unless of course there is some state mandate to do so.LinuxRacr said:
