Purchasing 5 GT in 2-3 weeks...pricing and S-plan Q's

Hi all,
This is my first post, but I have been lurking for some time doing research for my next vehicle, a Mazda 5 GT!

My wife and I just test drove one and we think it's the perfect car for our new family. We agree that it's a great driving car, but it's the unique layout and size that has us convinced. Grand Touring trim for sure, although we both would have loved the 6MT since we're "driving enthusiasts". Our other vehicles are MT's, but as a family vehicle, it's probably best that it has an AT anyway.

Here's my deal. I have been shopping around a bit and have gotten quotes of $24,500 OTD including all fees/TTL.

I had just recently found out that through a business partner of mine, I am eligible for Mazda's S-plan.

Do any of you have experience with S-plan?

Just wondering if going with the S-plan is going to give me an advantage over buying it as I'd normally would. Any ideas, I'm all ears. I look forward to becoming a 5 owner soon!

S-plan is just another discount. Really isnt any difference in how you buy, just more money off. If you have those quotes without the s-plan... now put it up that you are eligible for that. Should be more money in your pocket. I get the s-plan as well.

Personally? I wouldn't get a 5 when you can get the CX-5 with the SkyActiv fuel economy right now. Unless you're set on sliding doors, I'd go with the CX-5.

Is the CX5 a 6 seater? I got my 5 because it has more seats than standard sedan, otherwise I would have kept my sedan.

No, it seats five, but then again I don't look at the Mazda5 as seating six anyway. Yes, it technically has six seats, but I wouldn't consign anyone but small children to the third row, and then only if the people in the second row were short enough.

Yup thats how we use it..when we go out with friends....kids in 3rd row..adults in second row. having the 6 seater..negates using 2 cars..which is the reason we bought the mazda 5.

We have had 6 people in our Mazda 5, over 30 times, never had an issue.
