greetings all,

today I bled the brakes, and afterwards I took it for a drive...

I was getting on the brakes there quite a few times to get a feel for it..

It died while I was doing a hard stop, and has since refused to keep running for more than one second after I turn it over.

Any ideas about what could have happened? could I have knocked a hose or wire lose?

Thanks in advance,
Josh

If all you did was bleed the brakes, you shouldn't have touched any hoses or wires.

What else did you do today besides the bleeding?

BTW, I have already cleaned the EGR about 4,000 miles ago - and I replaced the spark plugs and wires about 11k miles ago - I have not changed out the coil packs though, and it has always acted a little funny at times - while idling

Even with the AC off, it will bog down a little bit while idling.

any ideas? those are only 50 bucks to replace (pretty sure they haven't been replaced before) - car has 109K on it

ALSO - right after I bled the brakes, and went to start it up, it didn't start the first time.. it did start though on the second time...

Didn't really do anything else to it.. (I did race a jetta GLI last night.. and beat him off the line until 3rd! =] )

have floored it a couple times since last night.. and that is about it.

Doh! nvm..

This all happened late at night - my friend looked under the hood afterwards, but all he had at the time was a phone light, and didn't notice anything..

the MAF sensor ended up coming loose off my CAI.. all that emergency braking knocked it loose haha
