About two months ago i put waterwetter in the coolant overflow tank. I started to notice the water in there getting darker.... last night I emptied alitte on the drive way and it looked like there was oil in the coolant. I checked the rad and it didnt look like oil floating in there.... help:wtf:

are you talking about a rainbow colored film on the top or actual oil in the coolant? When oil and coolant mix, it doesnt turn dark. It turns about the color of a wendys frosty and nice and milkshakey. It almost looks kinda good. :D Well anyhow, its probably just the coolant, i have seen this before when it hits pavement, it has the rainbow effect like oil does when mixed with water.

Water wetter does that. I don't know why, but I have seen it a bunch of times. It is not oil from your motor, so don't worry. It is the water wetter itself.

hey i cleaned the res and had to use carb cleaner to get the stuff off the inside. put some water and so far so good. I think your right its water wetter. Im going to switch to liquid performance coolant I think i know the guy who make this stuff and the nascar(yes nascar they live near danville,va and a few nascar teams home base is near here)guys said in their testing the LP was actually works better than waterwetter i dunno http://www.liquidperformance.com/HomeFrame.htm
