difference between srdett and srdet is that one is twin turbo hence the designation deTT and the other is just plain 1 turbo motor. power it depends on the powerband. technically speaking single turbo can have higher peak hp than twin turbo but twin turbo can spread out the "sweet spot" and allow faster tug

hey guys there is no such thing as a "SR20DETT" Only DET! You may be thinking of the RB26DETT (from the skyline GT-R) but that is an expensive swap:
Engine-6000
swap-about a month or more

The quickest I have ever seen a RB of any type (RB20 RB25 RB26) is a RB20 go just under two weeks...that guy is also a ASE Master Mechanic

The SR20DET is out of the s13 180sx and s13 Silvia in JDM land


Edit: also twin charging a 4cyl doesn't really make much sence. You will make more hp with a single large turbo (i.e. Supra, Skyline, FD3S)

What did you buff that with when applying the wax ect?

I was going to use mequire applicator pads by hand for the mothers 3 part system, then use my mequires microfiber towel to wipe off each phase.

The Meguiar's Applicator pads are great. When applying the #1 cleaner, and the #2 polish, just do one section at a time. And; immediately remove. But; when you apply the #3 wax, do the entire car, and let it dry well. Then; micro-fiber towel it.

The other application option is using a good polisher, like the Porter Cable 7424 Dual Action Polisher. Excellent device!!

Followed by removal with Micro-Fiber towels.

I wanted the Porter cable but the damn thing is a bit pricey with me having to replace my furnase and AC system soon.

Also I have no clue what to use as a pad on the buffer. I haven't even washed my P5 yet for fear of swirls. (nervous)

I want to be sure i do everything 100%.
I have all the mequires stuff but the wax lasted 2 weeks and with the salt and sand up here I needed a wax that can take an ass kickin. Hence I decided to give the mothers line shot. If that doesn't work i will get intouch with guy through a friend that is the SEM, Bondo and about 30 other products rep and see what he has to lend me .

Yes I am thread jackig .

Wash the micro fiber towels with detergent, yes. But; when you dry them - dry on low heat with NO DRYER SHEETS or FABRIC SOFTENER.

The micro-fiber towels are quite absorbent, but I would switch them between the cleaner - polish, and wax. In other words, yes; use different ones with each application.

Understand; Have you tried the Polymer wax from www.premiumautocare.com ? Platinum Ultimate Protection. Excellent!! It lasts longer. The Meguiar's doesn't have the longevity. I guess; in nasty weather, 4-6 weeks is about right.

Never did the polymer wax. Zymol was the best I have used so far.

There is a new one, I am going to be trying in a couple of weeks called Poor Boys. It's Polymer and Carnauba. And; get this! It can be applied under a blazing SUN!!! Yeah! No kidding. Joe has tried it, and I was at his house on Saturday when he was doing his sister's new Accord. 95 degrees, applying it in the sun!! Folks! Don't do this with a regular wax.
