Hello all. Just wanted to say Hi. Hub and I picked up an MSP over the weekend. Followed him (he was driving his 240 w/SR20DET) on a crazy curvy road. I was impressed with the MSPs handling ability and it's hard core desire to run. Such an exhilerating driving experience. We will be autocrossing and tracking both vehicles. (He has done track time already.) I am absolutely in love with the car. I feel good from the moment I start it up to the moment I turn it off. Hopefully the novelty will take a while to wear off. I am looking to gain much knowledge of my car, so will be doing a lot of reading on this forum.

Welcome to our happy little corner of the internet.

Welcome, and you will love it :) Go change your name though, making references to being a female in your name can lead to millions of PM's asking for pics, of you not the car LOL j/k and enjoy the ride!

No, they made me stop doing that, apparently women were complaining.
(rofl)

I'm 878's hubby so any pics will be proudly displayed by ME!!! J/K

I am noticing that the community here seems very knowledgable about the MSP so I look forward to getting tons of info.

So 14psi is safe to run...do I need any addition fuel or a fpr, fcd, etc.

Welcome. I think women who are into cars are like perfect. i need to find a woman into cars.

...back to trolling

14 is actualy warned against for reliability reasons, but many push it anyways.

On the stock system 10 PSI can knock.
Search for turboge and knock he did alot of investigations on his MSP on the dyno about when it will knock.
If I remeber 10 PSI was slight knock, 12 was obvious and 14 was very audible.

kwisti ran almost 18 but that was on 18 PSI, and alot of laying with various parts of the car.

If this ever happens just do what I did. Take a tight turn too fast, pull a few 360s, plow over two 8in thick wooden beams and put your baby in the shop for 5+ weeks. i garuntee you'll be loving the car even more after the first day of a neon rental. *sigh*

welcome aboard.

Excellent! More women!

Northern VA... might be a little far from here, but perhaps we'll see each other on the auto-x or tail of the dragon!

Welcome :)

hmm a little off topic but how come i've seen VERY VERY few cars with the sr20dett powerplant? i'de put that in over the det

Novelty.......?

Welcome to the Forum!!

No novelty here! 10,000 miles +, and pure grins!!!! Boosting to about 10psi. It's perfect!

What is this about a 'knock' at around 10psi? Mine just purrs....(thumb)

I hae been looking for the damn thread but I can't find it. hopefully Turboge will find this. He had put up a thread way back when. it mentioned his findings with different boost levels.

difference between srdett and srdet is that one is twin turbo hence the designation deTT and the other is just plain 1 turbo motor. power it depends on the powerband. technically speaking single turbo can have higher peak hp than twin turbo but twin turbo can spread out the "sweet spot" and allow faster tug
