wiring harness, ecu, engine mounts and mounting brackets, transmission, axles(i think), full long block w/sensors and manifolds, probably some i missed.
it would be easiest to find a wrecked protege with a 2.0 and do a direct swap of everything. since your already doing alot of stuff have you considered a kl swap?
My 1.6 is toast. I see a 2.0 in a local salvage yard with a warranty...I'm not looking for a performance boost or anything...just want to get it running and driving again. How easy does the engine come out? I know American v-8's...clueless on anything foreign! Do you just undo all the electronics and unbolt it from the trans and the motor mounts? Is this typically a 2 hr job...4 hr...all day? Any special tools I may need that I don't have now?
Thanks!
depending on your experience tools and help 2 to 4 hours at most. me and my brother can swap out motors in a civic in 1.5 hours. but your going from 1.6 to a 2.0 so you will def need the ecu and maybe wiring harness. i believe the trans is the same not sure somebody will chime in on that. or search for it im sure theres info on here somewhere
You will need a new engine, trans, PCM and engine harness. Also axles and some other miscellaneous parts. I would recommend the MP3 PCM but you will need to run premium octane fuel... You will need the long block because the heads and manifolds are completely different...
