I need help installing my injen cold air intake, The stock unit is removed and now i need some help installing i have no instructions with the intake. Relocation of overflow resovoir, attaching charge pipe, help please.
Okay, it's not too hard at all for this mod. Go ahead and remove the charge pipe (loosen clamps & pull like hell). This will give you some room to work. Just loosen the nut on the reservoir bracket and twist it sideways. You should have ample room to get to the turbo now. One silicone connector goes on the turbo to the first piece of the injen (the one that doesn't have the injen badge on it). Tighten up both clamps and make sure they're decently tight as you don't want them to blow off. I'm not using mine as a CAI, but rather a SRI, so I can't give any hints as to taking out the wheel well liner or whatever it's called, but honestly, it's gonna do just as good inside the engine bay as it will outside of it with less risk of drowning your engine (hydrolock).
Where is the piece of your intake that has the metal tube for the BPV on there? In the pic, your hand is on the intake, you need to attach the MAF to that and either A.) put the filter on the other end of the MAF, or B.) attach the second half of the intake to the MAF and go into your wheel well. The charge pipe should fit onto the intercooler with some force.
yeah you cant see the pipe for the bpv to go onto because it is under the hot pipe in that picture, and that is /was my problem was the inlet for the intake was directly below that of the hot pipe and the silicone hose is not plyable enough to bend from the hot pipe to the intake, so what i did was get a 90 degree piece of radiator hose, put a 90 degree plastic elbow on it and ran it to the intake.
