Ok heres low down.... friend and I got msp's same time done relatively same mods..... his car has 19k on it mods: Intake, MBC @ 8.5 spikes @ 9psi, hose kit, colder plugs, spark plug wires.
Story: about 45 mins ago we were getting fast food.... while waiting at the window for our food his exhaust started sounding a little more "close" ie sounded like it was underneath us a little and not coming from the rear. As we pulled away it sounded a little leaner than normal..... as we pulled out to get back on the main road it lost power (ie hitting gas going no where.... electrical was still on). Turned car off and went to turn it on again and it just made a loud rumble (did not turn over).
Things to take into account in helping us diagnose this.
1) There was no loud clanking nor is there any loud clanking when we try to start it
2) There is no fluid loss underneath the car, no funny smells, nothing smoking.
3) Its about 15 degrees here right now and was driven about 10 miles today before this happened with no problems.
Any ideas on what it could be? Hes shitting a brick right now wondering what it is. Any chance its something simple? Spark Plugs? Hose come loose? If not any ideas? Anything we should try out to help diagnose it?
