My Messed Up Car Help Me

.....and I do believe, Yashooa is the only member here with a MAZDASPEED that hasn't experienced it.

Well my car has never really had it. It only has a pusling it does under WOT, in certain gears at certain RPMS and that hardly ever occurs.
I feel for those who have it bad. Mainly my car just has smooth linear power.

Thats the weird thing, how does one car have it and another not?
When I drove an MSP with it, I was literaly thrown foward in the seat when the hesitation struck. There nothing un noticable about it. With the gass floored the car was accelerating then all of a sudden...not.

Very odd.

Slug mentioned he is hesitation free a few times.

All that I know is that i want what I want when I want it and right now I want my car to drive normal

Oh didn't the dealer tell you, this isn't the car for that.
This is the car for suprises after the fact. Every day is like christmas :D

I would just like to know how or why this problem wasn't identified before the cars hit the showrooms. I don't really have that big of a problem as long as they fix it soon.....they are just risking consumer confidence in a car that has great potential.

They knew, they were hoping no one would b**** this much. :D
Unfortunity it seem much of the cars power making system was a bit rushed. And there they have an exuse. Expain reusing the same suspension that the MP3 owners have been bitching about for 2 years before the MSP came out!

On the bright side the LSD seems solid :D.

Because if this problem was identified before they hit the show room, we would all have picked up our cars with 500 miles on 'em and bagged to s***. Because the only way for Mazda to find out about it is by driving the car.

This way we found out about it, and the Mazda tech guys get a make work project.

Sucks to be us eh????

Yeah, I read that. I would be IRRATE if my car was doing that.
Mines does a wierd vroom vroom vroom pulse under WOT but again not all the time. Just on occasions usally when the car has not been ran for a while. Sometimes in 5th when I am driving down the highway if I barely give it gas I will feel the stumble but it is very very very slight. That's why I never bought the Joe P FPR.
My car just runs so damn good most of the time. I also spend alot of time baby driving it to get better MPG so perhaps my ECU behaves differently than someone who drives like his or her ass is always on fire :p Supposedly we have a "learning" ECU. Some kind of adaptive driving thing or such.
I am very curious to see what the flash will do.

As we know this was my other theory as most MSP developed hesitation and didn't have it during test drives.

Everything you are bitching about in this thread is exactly what most of us MSP owners (me included) have been bitching about. There is a "fix" that Mazda will be coming out according to Chojin and Boostisgood, but until we all see it and get it, you shouldn't just rely on Mazdas word and everyone elses word that there is going to be a fix.

What you should do, is schedule an appointment with your dealership for service. When the service mgr asks you what your bringing it in for, tell him that it is hesitating/boggin/whatever you want to call it. Be sure to tell him that you want to take the car out with the tech who will be doing the service/inspection soo they know exactly what you are complaining about. This may do nothing more than put a record in Mazdas database of the complaint of the hesitation....chances are, unless your dealership has dealt with someone with the same problem, they are clueless to the problem. They might try to tell you that it is Turbo Lag (which it is not, and if you know exactly what turbo lag is, ask him to explain exactly what it is to you....just to see if he knows what he is talking about). Chances are, if they know about it, they will tell you that there is a fix in the works, but we have no exstimated release date for it.....they might even just tell you that it is a normal characteristic of the car (which technically it is, because you can grab just about any MSP and it will have this hesitation characteristic.....that doesn't mean that it is right or should be happening). If they know nothing about it and are not willing to look into it, or tell you that there isn't a problem, ask for the District Customer Service Representatives phone number, because you would like to give him a call....that should get you somewhere.

In summary, your not alone on how you feel, and many of us have been dealing with it since the begining of the year. I highly recommend that you bring your car to your dealership to be serviced for the hesitation...who knows, mabye you will be the first non-test-consumer to receive the ecu fix....just let your dealership know you have a problem with your car and you are not happy with the problem and you expect a resolution to it. And be sure not to take "no there isn't a problem...it's just ____" for an answer.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Peace,
Jesse

sounds good I am headed there after work - i am on my own personal crusade so maybe i will be the whiner to break Mazda's back.....I'll let you guys no what line of B.S they feed me
