MSP's with EBC?

Hey guys... do any of you msp'ers use an electronic boost controller? I was thinking of getting the Greddy PRofec B-Spec. 2.

Just wanted to know if there is something I should be concerned about, or be warned of.

Does anyone have the AVC-R? Ive previously bashed that one but after doing some research this one sounds like a good one to invest in with the gear selectable boost.

i have the profec b and i love it, im thinkin about gettin the remote switch for the steering wheel too. if you have t5he money for an ebc i would go with the profec b its the best ebc for how much it costs

I have the profec-b spec 2... simple install... straight-forward tuning... just be sure to dyno your changes on a wideband o2... our cars are very inconsistant... where others can boost 10+ psi... i can only go about 7.5ish and im at a perfect 12.0 A/F ratio

I have the Blitz Dual SBC Spec-R. It uses dual solenoids (should of gotten the single). The features are a built-in boost gauge, peak boost display, four different boost settings, boost warning, scramble boost, and a boost limiter safety feature to prevent over boosting. I love it! It got rid of most of those boost spikes I had with my MBC. I have mine set at 10psi, if it goes over that the safety feature kicks in and reduces boost to 10% (what I've set it at). Man, that sucks about the avc-r. What were the main problems that people were having with it that caused them to fail?

Do you still have the mechanical boost gauge installed? How accurate is it in comparison to the profec-b2 boost gauge? I was thinking of just installing it in the cd holder under the head unit, and keeping it closed. Just set the two settings and have that wireless button on the wheel. Would that work pretty good?

I have the Apexi EL series mechanical gauge as well as my profec-b... the two read identical.

the wireless does work well... I have mine in a spot that i can flip it right off the unit with very little reach anyways... didnt see the need to pay another $100 for the remote

I have a profec b spec 2 and so far I love it. I installed it and my Defi boost gauge at the same time and both give the same readings (as well they should since I teed them off the same vacuum line inside the cabin instead of trying to pass two vacuum lines through the firewall.

I haven't totally dialed it in yet, but I am 100% satisfied.

would the profec fit in the pocket on the left underneath the foglight switch and that panel of switches...i notice most ppl are puttin their tt's in that pocket, but i was thinkin of puttin an EBC in there if it fit

yes, the profec will fit in that pocket. But I chose to mount mine behind the cupholders because it's easier to see the readout and make adjustments from there. Plus I use the pocket under the switches for holding my glasses...

I put my TT where jrod put his EBC...

with the EBC in the pocket under the switches, i can make adkustments without having to lean forward or anything like that...

now keep in mind I also take my boost readings from my Apexi gauge... so seeing my profec is only necessary when making adjustments... and even then, after you learn the series of buttons and controls... you wont even need to look at it to make adjustments anyways...

if you are planning on using your profec as your sole boost gauge, I would suggest you put it somewhere you wont have to look down to see

well i wanna buy defi gauges and mount them in the pocket where the radio is, and move the radio down to the empty pocket...so if i don't hafta look at the profec that often, then i think i'm still gonna plan to install that in the pocket under the switches
