MSP Headlight Situation

I got a quick response from lightwerkz. I am not sure about the rules on posting prices, but I think the old adage applies, "if you have to ask, you can't afford it."

Yeah I read the how-to. The OP messed up one set on his first try, and the ones I've seen don't seem to match the professionalism of the lightwerkz. I am sure you could get there, but it would definitely take some trial and error and some shipping of parts back and forth. The retrofit site has a ton of different options and it isn't clear what exactly works best. Things that are insanely expensive are usually that way for a reason.

That's the fun of retrofitting. It does not work with your car so you make it work. If it was easy it would be called a bolt on. The reason lightwerkz has nice looking ones is because they have done it a few times and I am willing to bet have cooked a light or two getting it right.

Even some bolt-ons aren't exaclty easy. I ordered some new black headlights, but I think I'll hold off on the retrofit attempt. Maybe I'll try it first on my original lights, and then if it I feel comfortable do it on the new ones. A friend of mine did it to his ZX-10R, so maybe he can give me some on site pointers.

finished my second set, but using projectors from sportsautotech instead of theretrofitsource, still great service and looks fantastic

due to shroud size, reflectors had to be dremeled, but the cut became invisible after assembly anyway.
