Msp engine will it bolt on to any other car?

Word. The Probe's actually a hell of a car. Immaturity keeps a lot of our members from seeing the real world. I apologize on their behalf. :D
 
there was an msp motor for sale on ebay last week. it was from a wreck. check it out!
 
From my understanding. the MSP motor is just a regular 2.0 Protege motor with a bolt on turbo. Why go through the headache of finding a MSP motor?
 
yea both you guys are right, i should of changed to i wouldnt buy or prefer to own a probe , but hard times are hard times . i apologize for being an ass, just havin some fun . ya know alot of translation is lost when you try and be cute while typeing
i doubt any one would of taken offense had i been next to you while saying it . i joke around alot

145hp stock, at 10? psi, Stock ECU - a $3 Bleeder valve allows for 14psi and high 14 second 1/4 mile times.

At 16psi, on a stock F2T, I'd guess 170hp (At the wheels), 205-210ft-lbs.

FWIW, I've got a Probe which would wax 98%? 99%? of the cars belonging to members of this forum. Big deal, right? The point is, people can say whatever they want about the car, as it pulls away from them. ;) :D
 
never heard prote-gay before. But anyways who ever gives bad names to our cars are people that don't know nothing about them and has never driven them before. I never thought that my 2gen probe gt would have the handling it got or the power at only 164hp stock untill i drove one.

i know little of the f2t as you can see. but i do know that it is possible to get 170hp out of it. i own a 1st gen gl and a 2nd gen gt both mtx
 
whats up with the probe bashing, i know a few guys with probes, they are pretty quick! though, i dunno about swapping a MSP motor in, its just a regular Mazda 4 banger w/ a turbo that can be added aftermarket.
 
whoah i just read all this thread...hehehe whats up probeguy. hey man of course everyone will tell you to seek the ultimate FE3 but if not I think the F2T will work out good for you. Forget about a MSP FS or any FS motor, too much work and money to fit the 1st gen Probe plus a N/A FS wont give you much. I know you said you dont want to spend much but how much is too much?

Why don't you just buy my ~300hp Turbo 2nd Gen GT - $5500 + Half shipping. :-)

Yeah - frankly, if you want ~170hp, it'd be easiest to sell your GL and find a good 1st gen GT - you can pick them up for a couple thousand dollars - the price of a motor swap, with 100% FEWER hassles.

I heard that it's possible and not too difficult to swap in a 2.2L turbo 4 out of a 1st gen MX-6 in either the 2nd gen MX-6 or Probe. I haven't been able to confirm this yet, but it might be something to look into.
