does anyone else find the throw to second gear when your punching it to be a little notchy? and when you throw it to 3rd gear to you ever find that you hit the middle section and not the gear (by middle section I mean the spot between first and third gear positions.

my last question is when you shift to 3rd and 4th fast do you hear a clunk or a small small grinding noise.
I mean I know what I am doing, really my dad used to race around this area with a standard 318 68 dodge dart and he says that I shift cleaner and fast then he can so.

anyway if anyone could get back to me on this it would be great.

as youll see in other posts, second gear is frequently ground by our manual transmission users (such as myself)...i havent heard any problems with the other gears, however

A few say that switching to red-line gear oil help releive this a bit. I have this on order and will be posting my thoughts on it.

really, well when mazda does a tune up next month i will get them to switch it.
thanks guys whats the better one though the red line or the other one mentioned?
and since my dealer does not have that fluid how much do I have to buy?

3 quarts of redline will fill you up. It's really not worth paying anyone else to do it, it's very easy to change.
As for Redline or Amsoil (I assume that's what your talking about) I suppose it's just a personal prefrence.
