as for the foglights looking bright.. yeah I dunno why that is, maybe I had the camera really low to the ground.

doubt that there is one. best bet would be an HID 3000K kit. or rockblocker tint. how come you dont want a coated bulb?

Because if your bulb is painted your not getting a true colour output. If you want a yellow light then you want a true 3000k bulb, light output wont be as good if you get a 6000k bulb and put yellow paint on it. The paint will only reduce the output of the bulb without giving you the benifet of the chosen colour temp.

eh true true. why not rockblocker tint then?

as long as you dont put any 100w bulbs in you should be fine. 60w max is what i believe the p5 high beams are. most of the people on here with hids have them in the low beams. one thing you might want to consider is swapping out your stock fog lighs for a set of CATZ SR Spot lights. they have hella narrow "pencil" beams that shine really far in front of the car, great for long open roads.

just a suggestion

Check out the back of the sylvania silverstar h7 package at the auto parts, it says made in Germany. Also says OSRAM on the package somewhere & on the bulbs themselves if you look real close at the bottom of them. Just replaced mine after 2 1/2 years of flawless service last night, it's there right on the package & the bulbs. $37.00 or so with tax for pair. How much more for the same ones in a package marked OSRAM? What other difference can there be if both are 55w 4000k? Been completely happy with my Sylvania/OSRAM Silverstars...........I see no difference in the picture above.

They are TOTALLY different bulbs. Yes, Sylvania and Osram are one in the same, they are a merged company.

Osram Silverstars don't have a ghetto blue paint on the bulb, they achieve the same color temperature through higher quality materials. With that in mind, they also put out more light since they don't have that fake-ass coating.

The barely there blue on them doesn't show from behind the hood thing inside the housing nor does it shine blue or reflect blue when off during the day. Eurodezigns xenon blue bulbs & all the similar ones are "ghetto" blue. You know, the ones that people say they ditch because the vision at night sucks. How much EXTRA are you paying for those HIGHER QUALITY materials in the straight up OSRAMS?

you mean how much LESS? if you go to an autoparts store like Autozone...Sylvania Silverstars will run you about $40 a pair.

after shipping it comes to about the same since usually you have to order from Great Britain or another country where Osrams are marketed.

Osram Silverstars with international shipping cost less than Sylvania Silverstars did. They lasted longer for me too, but we all know how that varies from car to car.

I know the Sylvania blue coating isn't heavy like the one luminics uses, but it sure is a lot heavier than the 0 coating on the Osrams.

All 'pure' osrams from europe or are they available from north america? I'm game if comparable in price, I'll do a long-term comparison test next time I need some. Not sure when that may be since I just bought a new pair & still have one of the older ones for a spare. No melted plug or weirded out stuff on either of the old ones. One reason the sylvanias win with me is the instant availability without having to wait for package to arrive or pay out the ass if not getting them online. Not really thinkin I wanna spend any more than I already have unless going to HID. Did anyone notice the difference in lumens from h7 to 9005s on the chart for sylvanias? Both are 55w 4000k but 9005s say 1750 lumens & the h7s are 1350 lumens. Others are even less lumens.
